Not quite right....sony has much more investment capitols....actually it could easily buy T2 and RStar...but that would'nt be of any use...would'nt mean to have GTA as a Sony exclusive because many programmers would leave T2 for a more Independent Developing Studio....would you work for a company that works for another company to makes a game for another company? Or would you work for a company that decides for itself and that gives you wide credit?.....The answer is YES, Sony could buy T2...but would it be good money spent??
I think he is posting this do to the stories today about Take Two possibly going up for sale. He's just asking if it is up for sale, what would happen if Sony bought them.
I wish Sony would aquire one of the famous intellectual properties that were made famous on their consoles, like Metal Gear, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy or GTA. Those titles are synonymous with Playstation and fit the brand perfectely.

Seriously if anybody can buy this it would be MS and EA. But I think it is too much for MS or Sony to consider, maybe some of the devs they could buy like Rockstar or Visual concepts, but to buy a whole publisher is over kill unless you are EA, which is their competition.

the investors would have to approve it. and I doubt they would seeing as they are trying to take control of the company. Also, Sony has other things to worry about right now than buying development studios.
It wouldn't be worth it and buying out developers means losing money for the next 5 years. It's just like how 360 is losing money in the games division.Â
if sony pulled it off, sony could easily swing all the momentum in the console war its way. make no mistake, GTA4 will be the biggest game this holiday season(bigger than halo, mgs4, or anything from nintendo). it doesnt matter if devs break away and form their own studio. sony would still own the gta copyright, and thats what would make sales.

They can't, and have already announced that they won't bid. Their gamingdivision can't take such massive negative revenue this year. People need to realise that microsofts gamingdivision is a seperate thing from microsoft as a whole.
