Ok, from what i've heard is that there are few of many games for the PS3 is currently being hold because of the sale number of the PS3.  Developpers are just waiting for the number to go up to release their games.  It's a vicious circle because without more game the PS3 aren't selling well.

Well, what if Sony would pony up the money for the developpers to secure their profit/salaries so that they can go head and release the games.  ...correct me if i'm wrong but wouldn't that be a smart moves for Sony to get out as many games as they could?

The PS3 will be receiving a few new really good games, and who knows what information will be released during the summer that will affect the holiday season more so.  And plus if games titles were bought by Sony, wouldn't the phrase you get what you pay for come into play.

The games that are coming out look spectacular and I'm positive that that Sony is going to start releasing many games this fall/holiday season.

i think they should just relaese the high level games like lair ect. because over 1 million sales and if there game is really that good then those 1 million and more will buy your game which is very good sales number. then when those other people that don't have the ps 3 will look at this one game and buy the system and more sales will come in time.

So these developers paid Sony for the rights to make a game on the PS3, and you think Sony should turn around and give that money back to them because the developer doesn't think that Sony has created a big enough market for their product? What would happen then? How would Sony make money? Oh yeah, from US. Sony would have to stop subsidizing the costs of the PS3. Periphereal and game prices would jump. Free Online? Forget it. I'm shocked how many people think that Sony should start PAYING developers to release games or pay for exclusivity. It's retarded. It doesn't even come close to fitting into game industry's current business model. I have a better idea. Maybe Sony should start paying ME. Maybe they could just start giving people PS3's in order to increase their install base. Then developers would release more games.

they have a lot of devs under their belt, however everyone is in the proces or making games and many will not come out until a year after PS3 launch onward.  MAny haven't been announced yet!!!!!!  Just because you don't see news about these games doesn't mean they don't exist.  I think Sony, MS , Nintendo all know what they are doing.

u took my words the wrong way, i do know that third party pay nearly half of whatever profit they are making from the game to Sony. But if they are worry that PS3 install base isn't big enough to cover their cost then Sony should find a way to ensure them about their earning profit.  It is better than just sitting here waiting for unit to be sold when there aren't many selection avaliable to the consumers.  It cost money to make money and i think that the most important thing for Sony is to get out as many unit as they could
