From what I've seen at E3 and GC I would definetly get Killzone2 its looking better every time I see a trailer and the multiplayer is turning out to be damn good as well. Plus I've never played R1 before so I am not interested in it anyways.
definitely resistence. the last one owned, but the last killzone sucked.....probably because it was on ps2, but still, resistence 2 is what im going for
Killzone 2 for me,Resistance was a huge disapointment for me now killzone1 kinda blew but the online was rock solid back on the Ps2, and seeing how good the comunication is between guerilla employees and theyr userbase through theyr own forums i bet they will have ironed out the few imbalances the original had. Killzone2 all the way for the online experience, i dont care much for singleplayer when it comes to shooters and even then i detested resistance so picking up its sequal is no option. Why do the first generation of games for a new platform receive excessive amounts of praise when they are mediocre at best compared to whats already out for the previous platform(s)? Do reviewers suck up just because the new games lack competition?
Oh man that's tough. KZ2 sounds like a new COD4 with better graphics and some twists, Resistance 2 sounds like a power house with 60 player online, stats, and 8 player co-op, but man that's tough. I don't know why'd you make this thread :(
Never played the first KZ, but KZ2 looks phenomenal.. tight mechanics and beautiful visuals. I thought the Resistance campaign was OK, but I loved the multiplayer, logged some serious hours on that, so I'm expecting R2 to be all of that and more. Getting both all the way..
From what I've seen so far, I like Killzone's level of immersion with camera shakes, depth of field and the general gritty look. Plus the class-based multiplayer reminds me of TF2 which was my favourite MP game so far.
I have to go with Killzone 2. I prefer the realistic shooter experience to the sci-fi of Resistance. The ridiculously good graphics of Killzone 2 just make it that much more appealing.

I would go with Killzone2 too. But Resistance 2 looks fine too. Still I feel like Killzone2 will be Sony's hugest impact for the next year (after watching the vids you told me about yesterday :) )
R2 would be the buy out of the two right now because of 8 player co-op and up to 60-player multiplayer and the faith is there ..... Killzone 2 does looks hot though , but it is just wait and see.
i'd have to go with resistance 2. unlike killzone 1, resistance 1 was praised across the board. while i do think kz2 will be amazing, if i had to base it on past experiences alone, resistance 2 takes the cake.
but since these games come out like 3-4 months apart, its not really a problem ;-)
From what I've seen so far Resistance 2. It seems to be that the only thing Killzone has on R2 is graphics. But R2 seems to have better gameplay and story.
