What is all the hype behind LBP?

I know its a generic question. Basically what i'm getting at is why is everyone so hyped up about this game. I could read all about the game but I want to hear your main reason you are really wanting this game.

its a new concept...how u can absolutely edit everything, including the stages and the characters with a lot of different materials.

What's the use of playing a game when you already created a stage? You'd know all the obstacles already.

Well, I'm still gonna look out for it.

I was wondering the same thing. This will be low on my holiday wish list since there are a ton of games coming out that interest me more. I'll keep a look out for this game though...

I don't know if someone already responded to your post. but you don't create maps for you. You do it to upload or have ur friends play. And you can dl other peoples maps, and there are sure to be plenty of awesome maps I would think. I'm sure people will get very creative.

Play. Create. Share. that is the motto of LBP. THere will be unlimited amount of new levels to to the blu ray full that are already on there and then the hundreds of thousands of levels that will be made by gamers. There will be people taht pour hours into making levels that are of the same quality or better then the developers. That is why this game has so much hype.

even if it's new, it's nothing that huge or special to me. I don't know man, it looks it's going to be boring in like 2 days.
