yes it is s cancer research thing. it helps find a cure to cancer and you can set it so every night it will turn off at a certain time. it uses power to help find a cure for cancer it is pretty interesting so ya use it when you are not using the Ps3.

what game you got for the ps3 so far.

I think it has something to do with medical researching. I think you let some company or something like that, use your PS3`s processing power in an attempt to find a cure for diseases like cancer.

Yes the PS3 cures cancer.

You are wrong, my friend.

Folding @ Home helps sent packets of power to research facilities that are currently researching various medical issues (one being cancer).

It takes the power not being used by the PS3 and sends it over.

hmm I didnt quite understand.
Lets see if I got it right here. . .

If I active Folding @ Home, I will "send" power? or lend it away? so that medical research facilities get a more powerful machine or something :P ?

I think I am misunderstanding you

Folding at Home calculates how protein folds. The CELL processor supposidly calculates protein folding faster than Stanfords computers do.

Studying the way protein folds gives insight into numerous diseases (since these are caused by improper protein folding, diseases such as cancer and Alzheimers).
