I find it funny how people get THAT excited for the DS3, just because it rumbles? Ive heard funny things about the rumble feature, it adds immersion in the game, or that adds realism, please help me understand, how is that? yeah right, like if rumble were like wearing futuristic virtual glasses and totally feel the bullets, etc, etc...

I would understand is the rumble features were used like ZELDA Ocarina of Time used the rumble to find hidden treasures, that would be usefull. But getting THAT excited for something that comes from the N64 era... just to shake your hand when something explodes...

BTW... I always turn off the Rumble features anyway

I don't get it either, but to each their own. It does sound intriguing that the DS3 has "location specific" rumbling now. If you get shot at from the left side in an FPS, the controller only rumbles on the left side now. I'm willing to try it, but I doubt it'll be that much more immersive. I will buy one if MGS4 uses it in a useful way though.

I was waiting to get my second controller when the DS3 came out. I think the hype was more for the the import thing (look I got one you dont thing) its a contoller, but it does feel much better the the first cheap sixaxis contollers out. the first batch where see through and felt like you could break them from griping them too hard. the ds3 feels nice sturdy and a much welcome new edition.

The controller feels great in my hands. The rumble adds extra heft to the controller that makes it feel more durable, sturdy, well built, and all around more comfortable, adding to the experience. You don't have to care much for rumble to appreciate how great the controller feels. The rumble is just icing on the cake.

When I'm playing games, I want the best feeling controller I can have, and the DS3 is the ultimate controller in my book. The feel, the rumble, the motion, the weight, it's all there.

I've never been the biggest fan of rumble, but like I said, it's not just the rumble that feels good, it's the entire package. To be honest, though, the rumble is incorporated very well into several games, definitely adding to the experience.

For me, the DS3 was an excellent purchase, and well worth it's asking price.
