That's why it's so great.:D To me at least.:P
If i didn't enjoy GTA IV that much, will i enjoy InFamous? :D

I didn't like GTA IV and I really enjoyed Infamous. It's not perfect, but it's a lot of fun.
The sotry is great, the character are easy to relate to, the gameplay is very polished and easy to grasp, graphics are decent, powers are fun and diverse(You'll find yourself using all of them, rather then just 1 or 2 super powerful attacks).
The whole game was just put together really well. There's a few glitches like falling through the map every so often (I think I fell through 3 times in 3 playthroughs). The game is deffinatly worth a purchase.
And GTA BLEW sweaty balls. And it made that choice while a hot woman was offering herself to it. But Since GTA is Homo it chose the "other" route. I hated the game so throughly That I sold it and baught it again, Just so I could have the pleasure of getting rid of it again. The feeling of that game leaving my hand is euphoric.
In case you couldn't tell...I don't like GTA while I like InFamous.
I got it because it was on sale for 30 bones. My first PS3 game ...
Never played a sand box game in my life. Pretty impressed with the genre and game. A "little" repetitve. But its fun repetition, of course thats with most games.
Its a GOOD game. A solid 8.0 in my books, because I did not really understand the story/ending it was a little confusing, could have been a bit more well told.
Its a great game compared to lesser games, but not fantastic compared to, say, Uncharted which is a 9.0 for me. ^-^
How could it have been better told? HOW did you not understand the ending?I got it because it was on sale for 30 bones. My first PS3 game ...

It basically has everything you'd want from an "electrifying" AAA title: fantastic and rewarding gameplay, extremely polished, fantastic story and characters, voice acting is superb, the city and effects look great and feel "shockingly" alive and of course, it's a "blast" to play. I could type up a "thunder storm" about this action "charged" open world game called inFamous but I think you get the picture.
(plus I'm running out of puns:P)
lol nice....the only thing i disagree wit is the voice acting and i think IGN was right in their review when they say that coles voice is too sandpapery.....also up close the character mouths didnt move very well.....the script was good thoIt basically has everything you'd want from an "electrifying" AAA title: fantastic and rewarding gameplay, extremely polished, fantastic story and characters, voice acting is superb, the city and effects look great and feel "shockingly" alive and of course, it's a "blast" to play. Tell me a game you like and I can ask you the same question. Just because a game gets a 9.0 doesn't mean it is going to appeal to everyone. Obviously you read stuff and aren't interested so I doubt people telling you stuff is going to change your mind.i read the review and i am just scratching my head over what makes it so great...i even watched the video of the game and not sure what the big deal is? will someone clue me in?

Yeah, man. My superpowers are activated when I'm wearing socks on carpeted floors, which is never since my house doesn't have carpeting. That's a good thing because if my superpowers were activated and fully-charged, I could easily destroy the hardware inside my PS3 and TV. :P
here's what makes infamous fun:
Death From Above: Like assassin's creed to can scale buildings and rain terror on your enemies from above. IDK who you are this is natural fun like dropping stuff at cars from an overpass.
OMG Superpowers: You get like 8 unique powers, and most of em are pretty fun, and have to do w/ either throwing large objects, or blowing stuff up.
Mission Freedom: For the most part missions are fairly open for strategy. Rarely are you pinned off from designing your own strategy. There's also a bit of variety in your missions.
Story: really all I cared for was the ending, and how the sequel was going to play out. I could see a lot of people going either way on the story.
What's over hyped:
Good vs Evil: Cole just didn't strike me as being able to do evil things. Maybe a bit of backstory or something could of changed that.
Graphics: yea lots of glitches, not really that as good as most AAA titles.
controls: lots of people talk about how great the controls are but honestly they're complicated, and if you're not that type of gamer they suck.
sandbox: while it does have an open world feeling to it, it's not like you can progress different parts of the story at times.
characters: honestly I didn't care about a single character in the game besides the protagonist. hardly any backstory for anybody, and most were cookie cutter characters.
