What is so special about Warhawk?

From those that have played the beta they said it was extremly fun

Games are for fun, so it seems to me you cant go wrong... and besides you get a free headset with the purchase. Thats what sold me as ive been wanting to get one

I am addicted to online games and owning real people, as opposed to non-living NPC's.

so, ill be getting the game.

just some of the reasons why i am really interested in this game:

1) the game is multiplayer... which is big for me. while single player games eventually end, multiplayer game can go on for years.

2) the game is 32 players max. being a console and PC player... it kinda sucks to play a console game online and only have 16 players max. its good to see a lot of PS3 breaking the 16 player limit.

3) SIXAXIS control for Warhawk. leave it to Incognito to really flesh out flight controls, and then put it in a huge multiplaer game. from what i have heard from beta testers... the flight controls are very inuitive, while still leaving room for a nice learning curve to master.

4) player/vehicle balance. i think multiplayer games that include vehicles suffer from this the most. usually vehicles are the weapon of choice, since they provide cover AND can be used to kill players. it is said that even a gun can take out a warhawk.

5) so many ways to play. since the game is balanced... you can pretty much take down the enemy any way you want. according to a Warhawk dev interview on IGN, they talked about how gamers, who like shooters but hate flying games, enjoyed just shooting people down from the ground. jeeps, tanks, on-foot, Warhawk, or turret... there are sooo many ways you can get your kills.

The game is online only no single player.

the air controls are done using sixaxis.

not entirely true. the game is multiplayer only... but you can play multiplayer offline or online.

and it was said that you can still control the Warhawk via thumbsticks.

I played the Beta it was great bu they need to fix the amount of damage guns do as you hit someone with a rpg it does hardly any damage but with a pistol you can kill them with about 10 shots. Yer it kinda sucks that it's online only and i hope they come out with more game modes than on the Beta.

the beta is over. there is only closed beta now, the one the reviewers have been playing.

That other game Lair was another hyped game that was recently reviewed and had low scores.I will wait to see the reviews for this game.
