What is the appeal of LBP?

So, it's almost that time of year again...More fall games set to keep the masses happy.

So, I'm ready for some Socom, Resistance 2 and some Home(eventually) but I don't get the appel of LBP. I'm not bashing it I just want to know what it's about...

Mario + Physics engine + Level Creator + Multiplayer= LBPavataraang1

The type of appeal that a mario game has and the type of appeal this game has are totally different. in fact how is this like mario at all besides being sidescroller?

I don't get it...this sounds like a specific game for certin type of gamer...

The concept sounds cool...still cant see why all the hype...

Yup, it's the single most charming game I've ever played. The beta is an old build, too, so I can't wait to see everything they've added to the latest build.

One objection I have to make about your obsertion that Socom is gonna be a generic shooter is that some of the Community has always played a roll in Socom. While the gameplay my not be ground-breaking You can bet your bottem dollar that the following that Socom will create will help boost the PS3 that much higher.

... Am I the only one who wants to scratch this guys eyes out? I own a Wii, PS3, and 360. I can EASILY say that this game is like nothing else, EVER (Yes, my friend has a Beta Key so i have played with him). Have you played LittleBigPlanet?I guess not because you are saying its bad.
