What is the best looking game (graphics) available?

I very impressed by the water texture in Drake, the horror images in Siren Blood Curse.

What would be the next one to buy (great look)?

honestly Drake had medicore looks. It only looked that good because it was the only good game to play at the time.

Besides it sucks.....cause their making games to look pretty not play pretty.

most people would disagree with you look at the gamespot review it even mentions it, if you say that screenshot is meh you need your head check. and it sucks because it looks pretty even though you said it wasn't pretty... yeah... since the stone age they have been making games look good because thats what attracts us to games if someone rereleased a PSone classic people would say it sucks why? because it has crap graphics fact.

God of War 3 is going to be amazing looking.

Even if you don't like the art style, or even the game, the graphics are unquestionably amazing.

You don't have to agree that it's the best looking, that's fine, but you cannot deny the game's graphics are amazing. The quality is just there. Period.

Of the games i have played these are the one's are think have the best graphics in terms of technical and artistic visuals(IMO).

On PS3 i would have to say metal gear solid 4, it has beautiful graphics and well detailed models/enviroments etc, there are some ugly textures here and there but overall its excellent in terms of graphics, and in terms of gameplay its the best on ps3 if not all systems.

Best Graphics overall would have to be Crysis if you have a rig that can display crysis in all its glory, its amazing.

On consoles only i couldnt just pick one as IMO Gears of war,MGS4,Uncharted,Bioshock,COD4 all have amazing graphics, and Gears came out in 06 and to this date it still stands out in terms of graphics.

Going off a personal opinion i would pick Bioshock as the art style is amazing.

GT5 pro has excellent graphics also but because the other games have alot of variety in terms of enviroments etc i didnt put gt5p in my list.

Games coming soon with outstanding visuals, killzone 2,gears 2,crysis warhead,prince of persia etc etc infact nowadays 90% of games coming out have to notch visuals.

Here's my top 4

1.Uncharted, so much detail went into this game. Everything from his clothes getting wet, to his clothes moving while he runs.

2.GT5P

3.Rachet & Clank

4. My favorite game of all time MGS4

huh...anywayz...The character's in Uncharted looked plastic to me. Very bright color's which is a change for more realistic characters but it was a turn off for me. Game's can look pretty all they want. I'm sure they fooled you and your 60 buck's. but that's as far as it goes. Why did I play the Jak an Daxter series for months? Next to Uncharted for a week? THE GAMEPLAY.

So your going to tell me that when you played Uncharted you felt you never played a game like it before? I understand that it came out for the PS3 at the perfect time (when they had about....no game's), but it's getting almost too much credit for Graphics? please...

I agree with that. Most devs right now are concentrating more on graphics.

Graphics doesn't determine if a game sucks or not. You think the part were you play Snake's dream in MGS4 sucks? I found it great. The graphics didn't bother me. That's one of the best part in MGS4. :)

EDIT: My answer to the topic question...MGS4. But my favorite graphics is Oblivion's.

how does it look mediocre? It looks amazing on an HDTV

MGS4 is the best looking game that I have ever seen of any game that I ever played from PS3(4 games) and Xbox360(53 games) and PC(over hundred games).
I just got my 80gb PS3 a few days ago and I am just starting to play MGS4 and all I can say is WOW! I am really glad that I got it. I knew that I would like it as I have played all of the other MGS games.
This game has great graphics, great gameplay, and so far everything about it is just fraking great!

Exactly, i havent seen better on a console. Although MGS4 comes close.

I'd say MGS4, Uncharted and GT5P.

Edit: Oh and I forgot Ratchet and Clank. The game reminds me of a Pixar movie, so smooth and colourful.
