What is the best PS3 multiplayer game ?

I NEVER think I will buy a PS3 but at 299$ it worth it just for MGS4 and the Blue-ray palyer(if you ask I already have a xbox 360 and I'm not selling it Forza 3,Alan Wake, Mass effect2, splinter cell:convictionand L4D 2 are coming soon). So anyway what is the best exclusive PS3 muliplayer game ?

Anyway , there isn't a one best game - the PS3 isn't a one trick pony. :P

I'll give my opinion though -

1. Warhawk
2. Killzone 2
3. Resistance 2 (good combo of co-op and competitive , competitive not as good as the others)

I haven't played Socom , but I hear it's the most played game and a lot of fun despite the issues. It's a hardcore game , but you can play respwan games and spray and pray and learn as you go.

Resistance 2. Many say KZ2 is good too but I didn't like it. MAG looks really good though too. I've also heard Socom and Warhawk are pretty good, I should give them a try.

Ok i'll probably get Killzone 2. and GT5 looks great but I love the fact that you can customize car in Forza.

Ya I'd say killzone 2 is good, but I'm getting MGS4 and that games online looks really good.

To answer your question TC, Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 are both plenty good enough to warrant the purchase of a PS3...

Socom: Confrontation obviously, since it's the most played PSN game.

The 3 big exclusive online shooters (you already have a 360) out now are Resistance 2, Killzone 2, and warhawk.

Resistance 2: Has good general gamplay that is in between Halo and COD, 60 people games, and interesting CO OP.

Killzone 2: Best objective based games(they make you want to complete them), beautiful vertical maps, and invisible snipers.

Warhawk: Has great vehicle gameplay, extremely customisable controls, and best dog fighting this gen.

Up coming good online shootergames are Mag and Uncharted 2.

I know from experience (beta) that uncharted 2's multiplayer is fun.

for forza replacement you GT5 that is as good.

mass effect its on PC(isnt splinter cell too?), and so is L4D.

dont fotget U2 is coming there and its bringing miltplayer along, K2, R2, etc etc, not to mention the other IP sony exclusives.

if you really wanna give ps3 a try those games are a bit too litle to hold to

As for me the best multiplayer its none, that what i like both R2,K2, U2, and all other have amazin diferent gameplay, i love to have diversity

Exclusive wise there is warhark,Killzone 2, the resistance games,motorstorm games and soon to be added Uncharted 2.There are more good MP games that are available for PS3 and 360 which i find to be smoother on PS3 like Rainbow vegas 2 and bad company.

Nows a good time to get a ps3 with games like Uncharted 2, Demon's souls, Ninja Gaiden 2, GoW 3, MAG, GT5, Last Gaurdian coming out. I think you will will find that Ps3 exclusives are better than xbox exclusives;). but to answer your question, i would get....

You do realize that the Zipper that made the previous games did NOT make them...:|, which would probably explain your hate for them, MAG is going to made by Zipper though. :D

no doubt socom has issues but it is still a fun game. I must admit nothing close to the old ones but with the patch coming tomorrow it will get better.

Killzone 2 is by far the best, with Warhawk in second

Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 are awesome in their own ways.

As mentioned before, MAG is looking good, and being made by Zipper, it gives us that much more confidence.

Make sure to get Uncharted 2 when it comes out as it was hella fun especially with the addition platforming in it. It will also have co-op in addition to your regular multiplayer(death matches,capture theflag variaion-treasure hunt here).There are going to bea lot of maps and I can't wait to play this when it comes out and I don't even care for muliplayer normally but the beta was great.
