Out of all of the racing games and styles(simulation and arcade) which of each style is the best ones?
Which ones have you played and which ones would you like to play.

For sim racing I think its the Gran Turismo series. For over the top arcade racers, I like Blur and Motorstorm. For something more in between I go with Need for Speed, mainly the games outside of the Shift series, but I like those games for being not too much of a sim like Gran Turismo.
For a driving sim, I really liked Need For Speed Shift and Shift 2 Unleashed. With both you have to turn all the driving aids off if you want a simulation experience. F1 2010 is also great (and I imagine 2011 is a little bit better).
For an arcade game I loved Motorstorm Pacific Rift. Grid was also fun.
Top Racing sims would be Gran Turismo, Dirt series, and F1 2010/11
Top Arcade racers would be Motorstorm, Modnation, Need for Speed anything
If I didn't have a big backlog of games, I would have purchased Dirt 3 for $14.99. I haven't tried it but I hear good things. It is still on sale at best buy and you could even get it online. I think Split Second was selling for $9.99 but that isn't available online anymore. I have that game and it is pretty good especially if you like crazy car crashes and enviroment interactions.
My favorites are the Forza series and the Burnout series. Used to love the old-school Need for Speed games on PS1/PS2, but I thought the new one was garbage.
Midnight Club LA was my favorite arcade racer this gen. Gran Turismo 5 for simulation and Dirt2/3 for a mixture of both
