It's great quality. And PS3 is quite possibly one of the most quiet game systems out there.

Well the plastic scratches easy, (any plastic that is black does) The strength of it is high because im constantly packing my PS3 up and taking it to my dads and back. There are 4 USB ports in the front of the system. The system itself iyou can barely hear running. (but for some reason when I play Tony Hawks Project 8 it gets loud at times?) Hope I helped.

What are you guys talking about? The plastic is of horrible quality. If you press your hand down lightly on top of it you can hear it start to crack. Also, my cat (a kitten) jumped up on it and the second she did it was covered in scratches in the shape of kitty prints. It is glossy. yeah, but what's the point when it scratces so easy? Everyone I know, including me, puts a towel over it when it is not in use.

cause the Wii has all that serious horsepower under it right? please, the wii doesnt even fall in the same category as the other 2, dumb comparison, my home computer is quieter than a mainframe, does that make it better? and as for it "starting to crack" obviously youve never pushed anything plastic before, thats not it starting to crack, plastic is flexible, and at the joints, it will move if you push on it, making a noise. 12 year olds shouldnt be allowed to post on quality of things since you dont even understand how the material reacts.

i forgot, youtube is the scientific breeding ground, what was i thinking. thats where i usually check for all my information on anything important. was NASA involved in these? they are quiet professional. your obviously not real up on how things work, the ps3 is larger, when you span something over a longer distance, and make it more open internally, it wont have the same strength as something smaller and more compact. as you can clearly see, the wii's insides are pretty much taking up the whole case, the PS3, not so much. go try to smash a cinder block, then make a solid concrete block about the size of a brick, see which is easier to break.

Um... That's not true at all. I have both the Wii and the PS3. And both are just silent..... The Wii might be a little louder when it keeps making that clicking noise when you move from a channel back to the Wii menu. The only sound that the PS3 ever makes is the beeping sound it makes in the beginning. If you actually had both systems you'd know. And stop arguing pointless trivial things, the honest truth is that the PS3 is a well built and silent machine. We're not trying to prove anything else, so why don't you get over it. The Wii is a great machine, I play it as my as my Ps3, but the systems are so different, that both should be bought. It's the best way to experience next gen. I don't like loud and overheating machines like the 360, I've seen enough of that in person. None of the systems are bad, but I have to say that the PS3 is better than the other. But the Wii is so different that it isn't in the same competition really. Either way, PS3 deserves more praise than its getting at the moment.

nice response, who said i was not relaxed? its hardly stressful or upsetting putting a quick post with enough info to shoot down your simple argument, your apparently touting a slack jawed hillbilly as the end all of how strong something is, cute post

Why don't you calm yourself down before you get reported for harassing a fellow member.

Meh. Why report? He has the right too speak his mind (even if he offend someone) I only post the videos, because they show my opinion. PS3 is well built comparing to the Wii.

Uh actually your wrong, because offending someone does result in bannings on this site. Opinions are fine, but harassment coupled with an opinion is borderline insane, sorry.

dont see where i directly insulted him. i may have insulted the sources, but those are not him, nor are they something he made. if i dont like the video, i can say its the dumbest thing on the planet, its an opinion, but i clearly backed it up with logic. people can be offended by anything, doesnt mean its warranted. i never insulted him, just the sources, and the information presented. if you dont take into account the physics of how something will respond to a hammer, then maybe your not really informed on that particular thing, saying someone is ignorant to a subject is not an insult, especially when misleading information is presented as factual.

The P2 slim is louder than the PS3, mostly because you can hear it load so much.

I love my PS3, wouldn't trade it in for anything and can't wait for all the great stuff being churned out for it.

Easy tiger lol! This is the WRONG forum to defend ANY system in besides a PS3..so right there your gonna get swamped...I own both and personally I like PS3 for Hardware and the 360 for its great amount of games....so Why sit here and argue when you KNOW trolls, fanboys, normies, and everyone else is gonna start some dumb flame war? If you really want to debate the point of a stupid video, with two losers who hate video gamers than by all means do so somewhere else. *cough* system wars *cough*

In June, Wii will take 2nd again, and in 4 years 360 will still be best. The fact is that 360 is the only pure GAMING sytem. But I don't wanna argue, so this is my last response.

Why would someone intentionally smash a Playstation 3...that hurts my imagination. Really, though, the system is gorgeous. The exterior can scratch, and collects dust within like 30 seconds of opening...but just wipe it from time to time. It's quiet, supposedly has a high-quality Blu-Ray player compared to other ones on the market. It's great. They airlift each PS3 to the United States instead of using freight ships. Defect rate is very low and I haven't heard anything yet.

NO ONE I know puts a towel over their console... and I have zero scratches on mine. I don't know anyone that has any scratches on theirs.

And yea, the PS3 is the most quiet, highest quality next gen console we've seen in a while. Very impressive.

I think the build of it is great. It's actually the heaviest game console I've ever encountered and it feels really solid. It's quieter than both the Wii and the 360 are when they run games. I thought my 360 was about to overheat when I first hooked it up (last Friday) so I appreciate the near silence of my PS3 a lot more now. The Wii I borrowed last month got pretty loud during loading screens and on the Wii channel pages, but not 360 loud. It may not be the best but it certainly has the best build of all three. It's also worth mentioning that the discs don't fall out of the disc slot, which is a problem I had with PS2 and 360 quite often.

i forgot, youtube is the scientific breeding ground, what was i thinking. thats where i usually check for all my information on anything important. was NASA involved in these? they are quiet professional. your obviously not real up on how things work, the ps3 is larger, when you span something over a longer distance, and make it more open internally, it wont have the same strength as something smaller and more compact. as you can clearly see, the wii's insides are pretty much taking up the whole case, the PS3, not so much. go try to smash a cinder block, then make a solid concrete block about the size of a brick, see which is easier to break.

Actually it seemed the PS3 was stronger than the Wii. The guy dropped the PS3 and all that flew off was the plastic panel for the HDD. Compared to the Wii which was practically broken after it was dropped.

Why is EVERYONES response to something supposedly "weird" or "dorky" they say someone needs to get laid!?

Sex is not everything, especially "one night stands" which is whats suggested with that completely stupid idiotic word.

I dont want herpies now, no thanks.

It's quieter thaan 360 but louder than wii as well. Not THAT quiet.

I have all three systems. On Nov. 20th, I had my list as 360 1st, Wii 2nd, and PS3 a distant 3rd in terms of best system. Right now I have 360 1st, PS3 2nd, and Wii 3rd. In June, Wii will take 2nd again, and in 4 years 360 will still be best. The fact is that 360 is the only pure GAMING sytem. But I don't wanna argue, so this is my last response.

How is the 360 a pure gaming machine. HD-DVD player, movie downloads, and IPTV coming are not gaming features. If any system is a pure game system then its the Wii but even that has other features.

The PS3 build is easily the best. Most gadget/home cinema magazines/TV shows have praised the bulid and it's assembled by ASUS not some children in China(360).It has hardly any failure rate in the media and god knows they'd find it if it was there.I wish they'd look at the other consoles through the same magnifying glass. On Smash My .....I don't think they actually broke the chassis with a sledgehammer unlike the 360 which blasted ot bits in one hit.

I know. thats what I was getting at.. They wanted to make a big scene by smashing their ps3 into pieces with a hit of the sludge like the 360. But to their dismay they took several minutes to wack the **** out of it, and they just craked the outer shell and some internals. so maybe if you accedently hit yours with a sledge, youl be ok??....!!

The PS3 is a cement block (I mean that in the best way possible of course) ;)
