So I've been playing A LOT of Bad Company 2. I've clocked in just under 48 hours online and have already unlocked literally everything... everything except for the M-1 Garand. I hear something about Veteran's this or that and something to do with Bad Company 1 but I have no idea how to get it. Do I REALLY have to have had Bad Company 1 and beat it or whatever to get the M-1 Garand? If so that's lame. Oh well, the M14 Mod is much sexier.

You need to go to that battlefield veterans site and register at least 2 battlefield games. Easiest way to do this is to find a copy of BC1 with a booklet and register the code, then go and download that free battlefield heroes game and sync your account. So first. 1.Create a EA account with your PSID 2.Find a copy of BC1, register the code 3.Sign up to the free Battlefield heroes Once you have those 2 games you should be able to get it. I heard for some stupid reason Bad Company 2 and 1943 are not eligible towards getting the gun.

What GrandJury said and/or you can download two PC Battlefield demos for exmaple Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142. Play a single online game with these then go to the Veterans website and enter you online ID for the demos on there.

Heh thats dumb. I was wondering the same thing but I can do without it if you have to do all that just for a gun. Not a problem I suppose if you have 2 BF games, I used to have BF2 and BC1 on 360 but oh well.

That's weird because the only games I've ever linked to my EA account (other than Bad Company 2) are PS3 versions of Bad Company Gold and the Bad Company Demo. The Garand auto unlocked for me no problem.
