I like all of Ocelots fights, but The End is my favorite boss fight from any game.

mgs 1 bosses were the best. i like fighting them all. the music , the ways to defeat them ,their moves everything.

Umm, maybe it's because the game is good. That may be it?

Bosses are vital in most games. I greatly dislike a game that has no boss battles at all. I don't feel like I've really accomplished anything.

Anyway, back on topic. My favorites are (in no specific order): The End, The Boss, Crying Wolf, Ray vs. Rex and the final battle with Liquid Ocelot. They all rock, though.

I was just thinking yesterday when i waz playing mgs4 saying Dam these boss fights are good My favorite is The End n Crying Wolf Havent done the rest of mgs4

warning - spoilers for those who have not played all the MGS games!!!!

1. The End(MGS3) - a sniper duel across three large maps? Just epic!

2. Liquid Ocelot(MGS4) - For the visceral animations, the musical/fightingmechanics homgae. Up until this point Snake has been thru hell because Liquid. It's a gritty, big-time, cathartic payoff.

3. Psycho Mantis(MGS1) - It's Bertolt Brecht, it's Cabaret, it's rock and roll . . . everthing about it was fresh!

4. Harrier JJet(MGS2) - this one really showed off the power of the PS2 as all the things that were going on around it really brought BIG SHELL to life.

5. REX vs. RAY(MGS4) - Having stayed away from any spoilers prior to the game, When Snake and Raiden climbed onto Rex and wand started off I was thinking, "wow, finally" as I wanted to give a metal gear a spin for awhile. Then, having made it outside only for Liquid and Ray to confront me I was blown away. Also, I like the fight because it's so unlike a typical metal gear boss fight and the animations are top-frickin-notch!!

REX versus RAY.

At first I was like "NO WAI!!!" and the game was like "YA WAI!!!" and then I was like "KENT B!!!" ant then the game was like "STFU just play that goddamn thing" and then i was like "ok."

Psycho Mantis!! Mind "Controller" and "Memory" reading are totally unexpected... For me, It was the first game and boss fight that breaks the 4th wall.
