I was really excited after I got my new slim psp to try out remote play on the ps3. I had these expectations and all that I've been able to do is play music/video/pic's.......unless I'm missing some other killer feature.

You can play any PS1 title downloaded from the PSN store, and you can also play any PS1 DISC that's in the PS3 console.
So basically, if you go to an aunts who has a WiFi connection, you can play Final Fantasy 7 on your PSP using Remote Play.
You can also use the PS Store while on Remote play, so you can download new stuff for your PS3 while on the move [Barring WiFi spot of course]
yeah thats cool and all but I was hoping for more of in game functions. For example your playing gta4 on your ps3 and you enable remote play so you get additional content like another viewing angle or anything related to the game your playing. Revolving camera angles on the psp as you play the ps3 would be super fun:)
Yea I think the remote play function is a bit overhyped. Playing PS1 games is almost unplayable through remote play because of the bad response times. Sony previewed the rear view mirror function but never implemented it into any games. I think its Sony's way of trying to get people who have a PS3 to buy PSP.

Yeah, the response time delays are annoying, and the only way to actually get a fairly decent response time is to play it in the same room as the PS3, which is pointless since you might as well play it on the PS3 itself.

If you keep your router close to the ps3 and using a good wifi signal on the psp, it'll be just the same as direct remote play through the ps3.

The response time is a bit annoying, but will get use to it. I'm keeping a ps1 game in my ps3 whenever I would go out with my psp now.
I disagree that it's too difficult to use PS1 titles over remote play. I do it quite often while I'm over friends/relatives houses. You can adjust the quality of the data sent/recieved, so that the delay is a lot smaller.
I managed to play through FF7 and 9 completely over a remote connection.
