When Haze came out i was really interested in the game but with all the bad reviews and general hate i shyed away. Now i am looking back into and wonder what was the reason for the hate?
Was it the multiplayer, the length of the singleplayer?

It's just all around a bad game. Stay far away from Haze. There are much better FPS games to spend your time with.
I liked Haze, i loved the Mantel Trooper dialog
The graphics are "ok", they are not the best, and they are most certainly not the worst (This game is like Crysis compared to Damnation)
The Gameplay is a little crappy, Ai's not that good. but i liked Haze, its not a great game but its good for when your bored.
There is nothing wrong with Haze. That is a perfectly solid FPS. Sure, it's not the best storyteller, but the characters aren't a bunch of muscled-up meatheads. The length is a little below average, but that's probably a good thing. You don't want it to go on for too long. I never played the multiplayer though, so I can't comment on it. But just on the singleplayer, I thought it was a very fun game.
Long story short, Haze was suppose to be the next Halo Killer and didn't meet expectations, so lots of people got hurt by this and bash the game to death when in fact its not a bad game at all.ExoticAnimalWhat game is a halo killer in terms of sales besides maybe Mario. ( talking exclusives because Halo3 sold like crack for being only on one platform. )
It just didnt meet the hype. The supposed Halo Killer ip is an average FPS which I actually enjoyed especially co-op. Its just not Halo good. And because it didnt meet the hype, it just got bashed to death by people just going off of reviews of others and not actually playing the game themselves. Exp. I am having a blast with Transformers: War for Cybertron which GS gave a 6.5
It was completely overhyped and when it was released, everyone encountered the dumb AI, broken gunplay and awful story. Nectar was the only thing decent in that game
