What is wrong with the 80 Gi Ps3 ? ( except the price)

Hey everyone, I want to buy a Ps3 80Gi but i dont know what is wrong about it?

I heard there will not be Emotional Enginer,backward less compatibility... something like that but i dont understand what is it....

if someone can inform me i 'll be very happy

Software emulator can treat the image with AA and upscaling, but yeah, it plays less games than with the actual ps2 hardware inside. If they provide support for the biggest titles, I don't see much problem. Plus if you really have to play a certain unsupported game, a new ps2 costs only a hundred bucks. lordxymor

yeah the only games im worried about are like MGS1,2,and snake eater, and im sure they will play

There is nothing wrong with it. If it was something wrong with it they wouldn't be putting it out on the market :P

Yes atm the 60gb should have better compatibilty then the 80gb.

Well the current 60gb (the one in N.A) has the ps2 chip (emotion engine) in it, meanwhile the 80gb won't have the chip and while use the emulation for it.

It's true that it's less expensive, because of the fact that the parts won't stay at one price it will drop eventually, but that doesn't say that the qualitydrops. There is no logic inyour sentence (If you have evidence ).

i actually got a 60 gb for my bday but returned it waiting for 80 gb...(i know it was stupid of me)

anyways im sitting on my money just waiting for that special day to come

Whats wrong with the 80 gigs price? It basically gives you a free 20 gig because of the extra controller and motorstorm. Luxen90

because the 60 gig is $100 cheaper, and not everyone wants motorstorm. Plus emulation isnt always perfect for backwards compatibility.
