Favourite: Burnout Series (3 and Paradise my fav's) and Crash Team Racing
Least: Realistic sims (gran turismo.. etc)
Favourite: Gran Turismo 3 and Gran Turismo 5 (Sim) & Burnout Paradise (Arcade)
I don't really dislike any racing games. Although Need For Speed Hot Pursuit dissapointed me since I loved playing NFS HP 2 back on the PS2.
Fav: GT5 & Superstars V8 Racing (PSN game with outstanding quality).
Least: Burnout Paradise (Huge disappointment after a brilliant string of games).
If you mean the PS3 racing games, then the Motorstorm games. Least favorite would be games like GT and Nascar...
Least favorite: Gran Turismo 5 (what a letdown that was and after all of those years of waiting...sigh) and anything NASCAR.
Most favorite: Arcade-type racing games (after GT 5 I want to get back into the Need for Speed and Burnout games + other racers like them). I can definitely appreciate Modnation Racers and decent Kart racers.
if we're talking strictly PS3, it's not even close... Burnout Paradise for sure! ModNation Racers, Motorstorm and NFS: Hot Pursuit all follow (not necessarily in that order). i've never played Gran Turismo 5 (or 4 for that matter) but i was a HUGE fan of GT1 and GT3 back in the day. Crash Team Racing as mentioned by others is another fantastic racer that still gets considerate play, thanks to the PSOne Classics section of the PSN.
as for the worst? geez... i'm kind of drawing a blank here. i don't think i've played a truly bad racing game, at least not this generation. i played Blur and enjoyed it a lot, NFS Shift was another that i really like... the only other one everyone else seems to have a problem with is Nascar but i've never played one of those. come to think about it, i would have to say that the Racing Game genre is probably the most consistent, at least in my opinion, as i've yet to play one i didn't enjoy.
it seems Gran Turismo is the most polarizing, with just as many people saying it's their least-favorite as the camp that says it's their most. curiously, most of those in the "least" camp say it's because they prefer arcade racers over sims. i would fall into that camp as well, as i know next to nothing about cars except for "gas to accelerate, brake to slowdown/stop". still, i really did like NFS Shift a lot so i'd be willing to try GT5 when i get a little more money.
