What is your favorite boss group of the MGS series?

the title is pretty self explanatory. feel free to explain why.

If you choose the MGS4 bosses please do not spoil or if you feel the need to explain, be sure to put *SPOILER* tags.

Note to moderators: this thread cannot be done in the general MGS4 thread and only concerns it partially so please do not lock because of relevance to MGS4 :D

FOXHOUND bosses

Either BB's or Dead Cell

the cobras (havent played mgs1)

all of them were awesome imo (except for the sorrow, if he counts)

deadcell (weakest imo) it was fatman, vamp and fortune right? you didnt really even fight fortune, and fatman and vamp were alright at best.

b&bs they were pretty good

Cobra's.

I loved the end fight of MGS3 too...against The Boss. With the Snake Eater song, and the field of flowers, it was epic.

I never played MGS so I never fought the FOXHOUND bosses so my order would go like this:

Cobras > B&B Corps > Dead Cell > FOX (Portable Ops bosses)

i have to say the cobra's...i REALLY got into MGS3...i mean i played and loved mgs1 and 2 and port ops...and im currently having a AMAZING time playing mgs4 both on and offline...im on act 5...and ive put about 10 hours online...so i mean im LOVING it...and i cant say i love the boss's in mgs4 better cause i havnt finished...but the fight where u get to *spoilers* fight as rex and u have to fight ray! omg! it was so amazing man...im having a complete blast playing this game and it might rival my exp with mgs3...but the cobra unit...they were SOOO unique and intresting...all the emotions of the battlefield...shaped into forms...the story between the sorrow and the boss...absolutly amazing...then the fight at the end...where u finish the boss...omg...most memorable gaming moment i have...all of those fights...the end was really new and innovative...never fought a battle like that before :D these games are just great...so if i had to rate them right now it would be

MGS3>MGS4>MGS1>MGS2

FOXHOUND > Cobras > SNAKEHOUND > Dead Cell

Foxhound for me... most of the B&Bs were kinda replicates of earlier bosses like The Fury+Raven=Raging Raven, Sniper Wolf+The Sorrow= Crying Wolf, Decoy Octopus+ The Fear= Laughing Octopus, The Pain+Psycho Mantis= Screaming Mantis. FF6fan

The Cobras really challenged me - well at least one of them. I thought that most MGS bosses were fairly easy except for "The End." It wasnt easy playing a PS2 game in today's standards. He was very hard to see even with thermal goggles. Needless to say, that boss fight really pissed me off.

But my favorite group has to be Beauty and the Beast. They look awesome yet formidable. When I first saw trailers of the Beauty and the Beast unit, I was like, "This is the group you do not want to mess with." Downside, they looked so awesome but they were way too easy to defeat.

Edit: Then again MGS4 in a way was a tribute to the series as a whole.

Cobras>Foxhound>B and B's>Dead Cell

The End, The Sorrow and the Fear are all awesome putting the Cobras first for me. Psyco Mantis, Sniper Wolf and Ocelot put Foxhound at number two. Screaming Mantis is the coolest of the B and B's but they're all designed so well both in characterization and visually. Vamp was the only cool member of Dead Cell.

Foxhound, and the Cobras were all pretty cool.

i didnt think much of MGS2's bosses or MGS4's

My favourites were, Ocelot, Ninja(Gray Fox), Liquid, Sniper Wolf, Vulcan Raven, Psycho Mantis, The Fury, The End, The Sorrow, Volgin, The Boss, Fortune, Vamp, Olga, Solidus in the Harrier, Liquid in the Hind, Solidus, Metal Gear Rex.

The rest sucked really.

The Pain was really cool with his bees

The Fear just scared the crap out of me with his forest jumping.

The End --> Self explanitory (epic sniper battle)

The Fury reminded me of Raven from MGS1 because of the way the stage for the fight was lain out.

The Sorrow haunted me (and scared me a lot)

The Boss had the awesomest place with pretty flowers and amazingly epic fighting/CQC

In order of my fav boss group to least. Foxhound > B&B's > Dead Cell > Cobra Unit

I love each of the four boss groups but Cobra unit the least, still good though. Apart from 'The End' Boss I thought the others were pretty lacking.
