Like everyone else, i could care less about a fighting game. Its robbery that those games sell at the same full price as real games
I'm fine with multiplats. I was a bit shocked aswell.
The only thing that ircks me about multiplats is that most devs port the PS3 version from the 360. Which results to bugs, glitches and problems across the board. I just want dev teams to start making a PS3 only version with NO porting from the 360.
I hate the fact that it is goin multiplat when the PS3 version should of at least been a timed exclusive, then release it to the 360 when its done. It the same exact s#!% that I have to face when I heard that FFXIII wont come out till the 360 version is done and they haven't even f#@%% started it yet. That is just total BS.WR_Platinum
I agree. That is pretty stupid.
whether or not it went to 360 the game needed to be balanced. top korean and japanese players had complained about certain aspects of T6 and said it was not tekken anymore.. that's the reason i love tekken so much because they actually take the time to balance the game unlike other fighting games like VF5, SCIV, DOA etc... fighters like mortal kombat and SF are more novelty fighting games where as tekken is tournament type fighter.
i understand most dont get into tekken, none of my friends like it, or are good at it or can even get into it just because it take years of playing to learn. ive been playing it 10+yrs so i found the average true tekken players age to be around 25yrs old or so.
all this comes back to tekken going to 360... when i say dumb down the game i mean dumb down the controls, difficulty, learning curve and the user friendly-ness to get more people playing it. i dont want more people playing it i dont want tekken going mainstream i want it to stay on the ps3 with true tekken players, not 13yr olds using lili cause they think she's a super hot white girl w/ a short skirt on, just smashing buttons over on the 360. i feel with all the new europeans characters and it going over to 360 tekken is selling out basically. that's my opinion of it.
Dude, are you serious? Tekken is not the most balanced fighting game. And it doesn't take years to master. Those who can't play that well just aren't good at games period. But yeah, i do agree with you and the whole 13 yr olds using lili and crap. Âwhether or not it went to 360 the game needed to be balanced. top korean and japanese players had complained about certain aspects of T6 and said it was not tekken anymore.. that's the reason i love tekken so much because they actually take the time to balance the game unlike other fighting games like VF5, SCIV, DOA etc... fighters like mortal kombat and SF are more novelty fighting games where as tekken is tournament type fighter.

Its not a Big Deal
After that FFXIII multiplat betrayal( SQEnix keep insisting only on PS3 engine , made for PS3 , cant run on tha BoX, then one day BOOM is multiplat ) you learn that money talks.
So say goodbye to 3 party exclusives cuz on the "Next gen" there will be none at all.Â
If it helps you sleep better M$ is also losing alot of exclusives on this Gen... i just need "Star Ocean" going multiplat :(

T5:DR is currently the most balanced fighting game, after t5 was broken. I'm not talking about online with frame disadvantages. im talking about offline. Yes tekken takes years to master every single character, know all safes, punshiments, frame data, tech traps, set ups, CHs with each character vs each character. trust me i been playing a long time, there's only a handful in the world that's mastered tekken. wong, mainstreet, tetsuo, knee etc... you may be good but i'm talkin about mastering tekken. if you want to play add me icebergp. im in the gamefaqs/gamespot tekken tournament right now in the semi finals 4 wins 1 loss. being good at it and mastering the game is like little league compared to pro's.
Well, it should be multi-platform. It's not developed by Sony themselves, so why shouldn't everyone else enjoy the game? Lots of people can't afford Sony's lovely console, so why should they miss out on a good lump of games just because they're on a lower income than some of us? I've said it in other threads before, but exclusives should be 1st party titles only if the 3rd party developers have any financial sense (or a huge pay-off from one of the major brands...). If the 3rd party developers make more money, in an ideal situation, the theory is we get better games (I know this isn't always the case before someone points this out...!).
Tekken is a great series, but I find it isn't as deep as Virtua Fighter - and that's a multi-platform too.
It's cool everyone has their own opinions on Tekken that's understandable, but fact is it is "sellin out" and going more mainstream. I sold my 360 and paid extra money to play exclusive games such as Tekken. Now that it's gone multi, there's the possibility of it playing better, looking better and having better online servers on the 360. When it comes down to it almost all multi-plat games are a little better on the 360 and I hate that. If it's the case with Tekken, I'll sell my PS3 and go back to 360 because I'm sick of multi-plat games coming up short on the PS3. Also just goes to show Microsoft's effort they're putting into their system. They can just write out a check and buy whatever they want. What Sony did with BioShock just shows you Sony can't offer the same type of service to customers. A yr late, not even as good and make you pay extra for add ons. That's pretty rediculous. By no means am I saying I like the 360 because I hate that big bulky POS, but if they continue to provide better service you can't deny that.

It wouldn't be better on the 360 though.
It was being made on the PS3; they're just gonna port it to 360, which is a lot easier than porting from 360 to PS3 because all you have to do is compress everything.
The game is using cell technology.

Means in a year basically. For the people who dont care about Tekken I feel the same way about FFXII or whatever it is. I never even played that game in my life nor seen it really. So when I heard the big annoucement about that I could careless, but w/ Tekken it's a different story to me, because as I said before I bought my PS3 for Tekken and God of War III, now if God of War III goes multi it's the end of the world as we know it.. that's the last straw w/ my faith in Sony. People might say "God of War 100% won't go multi cause of this or that".. but you have no clue these days what cold hard cash can buy.
This may be true, but cold hard cash can't buy first party studios. God of War WON'T go multi-plat because it's to Sony what Halo is to Microsoft. Namco-Bandai decided to make Tekken multi-plat because they saw the success of Soul Calibur IV across both consoles and capitalized on it.Means in a year basically.
