what just happened to my ps3 (YLOD?)

i was in the middle of an online match of 'fight night round 4' and all of the sudden my ps3 just shuts down and now i can't even turn it on. when i try to turn it on the green light shows and then a yellow and then after that just a red blinking light. did my ps3 just die? ...and i just got is fixed by sony last august soooo what the efffff!?

Yes your ps3 just got the dreaded YLOD and its dead. What model is it? If its a fat I think you'll be better off selling it ($50+ maybe?) and buying a slim.

i have a usb fan setup placed at the back of my ps3 for better air circulation and and i was only playing for about a little over 30 minutes. i guess it could be overheating but i really doubt it.

Yes, it's bought the farm. You should try to get it back on long enough to get the disc out, back up saves and then get a slim.

it wont even turn on anymore...

this is complete bull!! i havent been playing on my ps3 for a while. finally im on my spring break and it breaks down. i dont even play my ps3 for long enough sessions to have it really over heat. im tired of having to send my ps3 to sony to have it fixed, AGAIN! this would be my third time(if i choose to). i swear theres some conspiracy sony has that they fix your ps3 only to have it break down again so they can collect more money.

yea, i thought about doing it myself, but i dont want to mess up my ps3 even more. im looking to find someone that will do it for cheap ($30-$50).. im also looking a good tv+ps3 deal (if anyone knows, let me know). that way the old 60gb is primarily used for blurays and some gaming. and ill have a new hdtv and ps3 in my room.
