What were the main points of your interest to getting a PSP?
- Got bored with current gen.
- Great JRPG library
- Old game ports remastered
- Convenient to get straight into gaming

was this supposed to be a poll? anyways i really loved the games and the multi media advantage of it over the ds, i love my ds but didnt get one until late in the game. wipeout and some other RPG that reminded me of gauntlet legends that you could play with a friend off one umd
Games like Jean D'arc, Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles, Star Ocean 1 & 2, Hammerin Hero, PS1 games, etc. Also, figured, why not.

Those were my personal interests.was this supposed to be a poll? anyways i really loved the games and the multi media advantage of it over the ds, i love my ds but didnt get one until late in the game. wipeout and some other RPG that reminded me of gauntlet legends that you could play with a friend off one umd

I wanted from the time it came out, but the pushing point was when Birth by Sleep came out so I got my psp a month before it was released last year.
That you could download PlayStation games is what sold me on it. Ironcially, I still haven't bought a PlayStation game for it yet. I had though PSP games were all watered-down PS2 games and wasn't much interest. It turns out I was horribly wrong.
I can't remember why I originally bought it, but I know that I wanted to play Powerstone on it as well as some other games. I actually haven't bought many games for it, but I do have games that I love and ones that don't interest me anymore which will end up being sold at some point.
I've always loved handheld gaming, and I was really interested in the idea of carrying Playstation games around with me. I loved my PSP back in 2007 and I still do (though I have a different one now).

Coolyfett definately got his moneys worth from the system.
[QUOTE="riou7"][QUOTE="rawsavon"]Can't be discussed here other than saying I love the hardware. ...also, I love retro games >_>rawsavonOoo... so you joined the dark side! O_o I can only speak here in terms of theoretical situations... Let's say that a manufacturer was no longer making money off their product (any product you want to think about) and that a bunch of people were selling that product on ebay at inflated prices far above the original retail price. If such a situation were to exist, I would support any and all means for a person to acquire that item by other means...seeing as how the maker of that item was no longer seeing a dime from its sales. BUT If the maker of an item is still getting a profit from it, .then I say we should support that person to ensure we continue to get items from them I hope that makes my position as clear as i can make it. Well yeah the only way to get those products now is to either get it from ebay for ridiculously high prices or to get it somewhere else from pretty much all places across the internet. I did not accuse you for not supporting the maker or anything like that since like what you said, the maker was no longer making money off their products. I don't blame people for doing such action either because it seems it's the only way to play those classic titles, except you're some hardcore collector who're willing to pay more than $100 for one retro game.
Tekken Dark Resurrection....no lie. :P
I mean, mind you have other games since then; but my original reason for buying mines--over 5 yrs ago--was to full my Tekken need on a portable scale. And it still IS one of my favorite PSP titles. :)
Dissidia Final Fantasy and later on Dissidia Duodecim.
Never did I regret it the slightest just for this two games.
A portable Playstation 2. Well the PSP wasn't quite a portable PS2. But to be able to play Playstation games on the go was the selling point for me. At the time a handheld Disc based gaming machine was a huge deal. Plus I was going on a journey to Montreal so Videogames were a must.
