Wow, Motivate... such a strong word. I have heard of people being motivated to get thinner, smarter, faster, prettier. But motivated to get a console system??? PS3 will never ever motivate me to buy it. But my reason for buying it will be metal gear solid, final fantasy games. Oh and more importantly when i can get the 40gig @ $250.
Motivate... bad choice of usage.
Well I wanted a ps3 for a number of games like GTA IV, DMC 4, RE 5, Heavenly Sword, Assassin's Creed, MGS 4, etc.
I was motivated to get a ps3 last July was when Sony announced that they were going to discontinue the 60 gb with the EE chip. I have a ton of ps2 games that I haven't played yet and backwards compatibility is important to me.
1) sony's variety of games and franchises
2) the hardware is the most advanced of the next gen systems
3) free online
4)ps2 backwards capability
5)familarity with sony systems
6) when I first bought it R:fom, Oblivion, and Motorstorm were the games I wanted to play immediately
7)blu-ray
8) built in wifi (completely underrated feature)
9) KZ2
10) the infamous E3 05 unveiling of the ps3.
my brother bought it for me :D
but I guess what made me want it was the FF series, GoW, DMC, Tekken 6, Soul CaliburIV, etc. and part of me will just always be a sony fangirl.
Metal Gear Solid 4 and its the cheapest blu ray player that goes awesome with my brand new sammy LCD. I probably wont use it for anything but these 2 things
[QUOTE="expanded"]well playstation was bomb.. and playstation two was dynamite.. so i knew sony brought in a TNT of a ps3 :) why resist?rogerjakI think PS3 is something in lines of nuke :PPS4 will be the nuke i say this is more like C4
Backwards compatibility (the 60 gig model for the win), Metal Gear Solid 4, PAIN (yes you heard me, that game is sweet), Final Fantasy XIII are probably the biggest reasons.
The fact it can be used as a portable device to store porn...ryank285
Um... isn't that the PSP?
I don't consider the PS3 to be extremely portable.
