I am not in here to argue or anything like that, I am asking a simple question and looking for an answer from someone who has had both and which one is the best. I got a 360 Pro for Christmas in '07, then a couple days after of playing it for a total of 4 Hrs, it had the ol' RROD. Then I go back to BestBuy and take it back and get a ps3. Well that lasted alot longer, but then one day when I went to my friend's house, some reason my brother had the bright idea of playing it and then leaving it on all night and then throughout the next day. I had no idea of this until I got home the next day in the late afternoon, and it had "apparently" overheated. I had no warranty on it and it was way past the manufacturer's warranty, so I had no choice but to go sell it to Gamestop and my games for a PS2. The reason I went back to a PS2 is because I had a PS2 for like 2-4 years before getting a 360/PS3, so I am leaning towards getting a PS3 just because I like the fact that the failure rate is WAY LOWER than the 360, but the selection of games for the 360 is way more than the PS3, but I know that is because the 360 has been on the market for ALOT LONGER than the PS3, but I have never had a problem with a Sony product, especially the Playstation's. Right now I have a slimline PS2 and a PSP series-2000. Never had a problem with either of them, the 360 had the RROD in a few days of playing it, but I have no idea what I want to do. Can someone help? I want to know if Microsoft has actually fixed the problem with their 360's, I would love to have both, but I don't have enough money on my hands to go buy both, only 1 of them. Can someone give me like a list of Pros-Cons about both systems, and then their opinion about both systems...

Get a PS3 because it has better hardware and amazing first party titles.

I'm sure you realise that by asking in this forum your gonna get a biased answer. Seeing as though you've already experienced both console's I see no reason for you to not be able to make the decision for yourself.

Ummm.... this is the first time iv heard of a playstation over heating. Mine is on all the time, for days on end, and it doesnt have any problems (I got day after launch, so its not an age issue).

I say ps3, simple because its hardware blows away the xbox. It has Blu Ray, can run linux if you so wish, and it plays true hd games. Games on the xbox are just upconverted sd games.

I have both right now and must say if you can only have one get the xbox 360 the games are so much better than ps 3 (dont get me wrong I like the PS3 ) but it just does not have the game selection the 360 has . there is nothing wrong with the online play on the ps 3 ,the hardware is solid so either way if blueray means anything too you then you have a tough choice but if you just want a game system the xbox 360 is the clear winner
