I agree I think that old school games should remain old school and just be downloadable on PSN, remakes are not always good in my opinion.
metal gear 1 is already remade as twin snakes in gamecube. :P
I'd love to see a remake of Chrono Cross, and Dino Crisis series

I see the points some people have made about how remakes should not be made, but there are some good reasons to do it. For people that have played the game, they're going to remember it in the glory days and just want to relive it, but have the experience be sweetened. Also, remakes can help introduce newer gamers to older games they weren't around for and now won't try out simply because going from PS3 graphics as a starting point in games to SNES graphics is just... kinda lame lol.
I'm surprised more people haven't said this, but I'll go ahead and do it... FFVII REMAKE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SE I'M STARTING TO HATE YOU!!!
Also, Chrono Trigger, MGS1, and FF6 would be sweet.
JoKeR's suggestion of Legend of Dragoon was a pretty good idea too. Awesome game.
Typically, the experience is not sweetened in remakes. :P Which can also lead to a bad impression of the source material being left on the new players.I see the points some people have made about how remakes should not be made, but there are some good reasons to do it. Yeah, that's definitely true. I'm just picturing all of FFVII looking like Advent Children and their tech demo, *drool* but everything else being exactly the same. I mean improved graphics without changing any of the artistic direction or adding any super cheese.

If your just referring to an HD upgrade or something, yeah. Thats fine. It's stuff like Silent Hill Shattered Memories that really turns me off to remakes though. Silent Hill 1 was one of my favorite games of all time... what are they doing to it? :cry:River City Ransom and Double Dragon II

That was probably the best beat'em up game I ever played. I'm actually considering re-buying a Nintendo just for that game.
yep, remakes or spinoffs are a generally bad idea, they tarnish a great game's name. if anything these should be released as online downloadables, the only changes I would accept are things like, error correction, mainly to do with the text of the game.I agree I think that old school games should remain old school and just be downloadable on PSN, remakes are not always good in my opinion.

Remakes are main stream these days (unfortunately) but i think the perfect remake would be FFVII with advent children/FFXIII graphics and FFX gameplay controls. And, of course, no change to the story.
I'd like to see the first 3 Resident Evils remade with an OtS view, like RE 4 and 5. That would rule! As with everyone else, I would love to see that tech demo for Final Fantasy VII to be made into the full game. No, FFVII would rule, sorry RE. 8)
space crusader or space hulk, the 2 best 40k games that if you could look past the bad graphics(space hulk looked horrible even in its day)they were awesome games
