Since Charter's thread got locked, but it might be a good topic, I have revised it to fit the rules.

You rock, Chart!

:D

For me, it's -

  • NASCAR 2011 - FINALLY, a NASCAR game made for the fans. The EA Sports Wicked Witch is DEAD!!!
  • F.E.A.R. 2 - Multiplayer without perks, attachments, and **** spawn design. Come join us! The story mode is creepy, too!
  • Just Cause 2 - An open-world game with stuff to blow up, air races, and it's all sooooo PRETTY & plays so GREAT.

How's about the rest of you? PS3 games, only... of course...

To be honest, there are no such PS3 games at this point. I was really into KZ3 for while, but now the urge to toss "everything" aside just to play it has somewhat subsided. With that said, there is a game on the PSP that I'm currently addicted to, but listing it would be in clear violation of your thread. :P

Man, I just realized that the games I named in the last thread are actually games that I'm not playing on PS3. Which means that my answer is.... none. :(

Yeah... They locked the last one on a technicality but I thought it was a good topic so I re-upped it but with forum rules observed.

Nothing really, there have been some great game this gen but I wouldn't say I was addicted to them. The only game I've been addicted to was an MMO called "Runescape" I was addicted to that back in the good ole day's when it was good.

Everyone at my school played that like crazy in Grade 7. I never understood it, it looked and played like complete crap to me. I also really don't like MMOs, but yea I never understood Runescape.

Dead Space 1 and 2

COD4(yes I still play it)

Probably Dragon Age at the moment since just in the last couple of weeks I went through and platinum-ed DA:Origins plus 100% all the DLC in the ultimate edition. After that I pretty much went straight into Dragon Age 2, only broke it up with a quick playthrough of Crysis 2. Now I'm going to go back to platinum Dragon Age 2. After that I plan to sell both.

It's the only game where I totally lose track of time... I steal a jet from a military base, get flying low through skyscrapers and under bridges, and the next thing I know, it's thursday and I haven't eaten or bathed in days.

Demon's soul. I was about to trade it in, but I decided to play it one last time and now I'm addicted. Also, Fallout 3 Goty. Picked it up for 30 dollars a few days ago and loving it.

So true! I picked this JC2 at boxing day for $20 and I don't think I I've ever got so much bang for the buck! I'm crazy obsessed with checking out all the stuff you can do but those base jumps are hard! :)

Yeah, its one of the best sandbox games ever. Endless supply of enemies to kill and jets to steal. The altitudes are extreme and the landscapes are gorgeous. The grapple hook and parachute are one set of gimmicks that never get old. I played the game off and on for months and never beat it. I just couldn't keep up with the story and missions with so much other stuff to do. :P

Yeah, you haven't lived until you sail a passenger jet under some of those bridges or run it slolom through buildings... It might be poor taste if it were NYC, but downtown Papu-Papoo (or whatever it's called) is a real blast. I think that's gonna be the late-night game tonite after a little BSG!

I just love the game. I never thought anyone would trump R* at their own creative table, but "Just Cause 2" is better than any GTA game ever made when it comes to stuff to do, places to explore, and **** to blow SKY-HIGH. I loved "GTA: SA", but my main complaint was that R* made this HUGE place, with all of these buildings and places to find, and then they didn't PUT anything there to FIND.

With "Just Cause 2", I'm finding something new every time I get into it.

In the long run, probably Bad Company. But I'm usually addicted to some games for a month or so, usually when I'm trying to plat or simply finish it (Case in point : NFS Hot Pursuit, which I played non stop for nearly a month to obtain the platinum. Same for Fallout 3 back in the days or some other games.)

Even though it's a sandbox, it really takes the open-world concept to a new level.

Uncharted 2 keeps sucking me back in. I don't have much time for games right now but when I do I either mess around in single player with all weapons and infinite ammo, rock some coop or get into an mp game. I still really enjoy everything about it and the mp is some of the most pure fun I've had in mp in a while.

Two games I love. I've even been playing "F2" online in reaction to being so bored with CoD, and it's a lot of old-school fun (no perks, no kill streaks, no **** spawn points). Shoot me your PSN ID if you want to team up on that sometime, I don't have a lot of friends who own that game ("F.E.A.R.2"). The story mode rocks too! Always good to see other people playing the semi-fringe games like me!

Same here, man. Enabling some of those single player "tweaks" adds a lot of replayability for me. And, of course, the multiplayer being a blast to play doesn't hurt that game either.

Yea, I really don't understand why more games don't have unlocks like that where you can play through the game after you beat it and have access to all of the weapons just to mess around. I think it's almost an old school feature, but I enjoy trying to go through the game with just the dart gun or shot gun or whatever.

They could even do like Ratchet and Clank where it's like a new game plus and you have access to the weapons but it's harder. One of the downfalls of Bulletstorm, although I heard it's fun, is if you play through the game a second time you still unlock the weapons in the same order, so you can't try to get new skill shots with different weapons in the earlier part of the game.

Youre cool. For me- - God of war 1 2 and 3 in less than 24 hours. I also completed them back to back so less than 72 hours. - Ratchet and Clank in 3 days - Uncharted 2 in 2 days - Bioshock in 2 days. Pwned.
