I HAVE A PS3 AND THIS MONITOR,http://www.softchoice.com/catalog/en-us/monitors-samsung-syncmaster-245bw-flat-panel-display-tft-245BWTAA-W06406 now what res should i play at 720p OR 1080i it says the optimum settings defult is 1080p when i do that on my ps3,but i cant see it and i have to reset to default so i can see it again?is 1080i better than 720p?it does seem a little sharper...thanks!!

Ofcourse 1080i is better then 720p. More lines or something like that.

For video games a progressive scan picture is going to look better than interlaced. You can't just say 1080i is better than 720p because 1080 is a higher number. In fast moving images (such as video games) 720p is going to look a lot nicer than 1080i.

well ive noticed its seems sharper in 1080i,my monitor says its running at 1980 by 1080 is that 1080i.does the ps3 down grade games to a default of 720p like the 360,unless they are in 1080p.my question mark isnt working weird.

when i ask the monitor what res its in via the menu it says 1920 by 1080 so i geuss its in 1080p.my 360 says the same thing i guess because this moitor is a higher res than 1080p when you but it on 1080p in the ps3 settings it wont output so 1080 is really the 1080p on this moniter,mabey,anyone know......
