the highest one i can use: 1080i

oh except the only game we have is only in 720p

720p, 1080i and 1080p deppending on what TV/Monitor i have the PS3 plugged into.

i have not played it in standard deffinition at all.

The resolution scale goes like this from worst to best:

480i, 480p, 720i, 720p, 1080i, 1080p...

1080p is currently the highest resolution possible...

720p. 1080i was just horrible for R6V so I put it at 720p and left it there. Can't tell the difference in other games and R6V is tolerable now.

Just bought a 40" 1080p... The demo games are tight esp GT5 HD and Formula1. Rainbow 6 looks pretty crappy when playing multiplayer. Single player's graphics are not as good as it could be.

I pretty much let the system use the highest available. 1080i looks best for my PS3 on my TV under most circumstances.
