What RPGs are coming out this year ?

I know of Skyrim and the new tales game is coming this year but is there any good RPGs your looking forward to that you know for sure are coming out this year ?

Hyperdimension Neptunia comes out next week if you like JRPG's. It looks pretty cool, but a little gimmicky.I have been looking for an RPG to help me get back into the genre after a long hiatus.I will pass on Hyperdimension Neptunia however and hold out for Dragon Age 2 in March. I am picking up the first Dragon Age to get acclimatedas soon as I finish Dead Space 2 and AC: Brotherhood.

Ar Tonelico 3, Neptune, Skyrim, Tales of Graces, Atelier Rorona 2? White Knight Chronicles 2? Mass Effect 3.

Yea i checked out hyperdemension neptunia im gonna pass on that. I cant wait for Dragon age 2 already got it pre-ordered. you said your looking for a game to get you back into RPGs well DAO should definitely do that for you i put in alot of time on that game and still love playing it, it does have some glitchy gameplay at times and frame lag but i found it easy enough to overlook

Disgaea is a series i always wanted to pick up, and to this day i dont know why i havent :/ maybe i should go buy some of the earlier installments while im waiting for DA2 and Dark souls

Dragon Age 2 is the next big thing. Two Worlds 2 is around the corner too... but the reviews aren't too encouraging.

Well, they do not base on each other (well, besides of some cameos and references), you could directly start with Disgaea 3 on PS3, but the start might be a bit harsh, it's pretty complex. If you have a PSP you can get extended ports of Disgaea 1 & 2 on it. That would give you an easier start into the series even though it started pretty complex. Easiest way to get into the series is by completly ignore the Dark Assembly (maybe besides more expensive items in the shop) and Item world, you should be fine if you leave them for post game. Wow, thatwas pretty random, sorry, it's almost 4 AM here in Switzerland xD Anyway, if you need help getting into the series or if you need more infos feel free to contact me, I gladly answer everything about NIS titles ... after I slept xD

Yea played it and beat it was gonna try to platinum it but the weapon trophies are boring to grind :/ never enough crystal lizards :P

and somebody else mentioned above the witcher 2 is coming out this year? i didnt know they had a release date out or even expected for this year but if they do then thats DA2 / Dark souls ? and the witcher i will be picking up :) apparently the witcher 2 is going to have an insane difficulty mode with limited saves im gonna have to attempt that

No you are not alone, I too am a huge Disgaea fan and am eagerly awaiting the next installment. When it comes to the topic at hand, the more rpgs released this year the better since that is my favorite genre and all the shooters are starting to wear me down. On a side note how is Trinity Universe?

Nice to know ^^ There are only a few that are hyped for NIS games ^^ I pretty much love all of their games ^^ Anyway, IMO TU is great Dungeon Crawler (if you'r einto this kind of things), there is tons of ways to improve your stats that are optional but still effective which adds up to a good gameplay. Story is Disgaea-like light hearted and fun to play, having 2 different stories (that come together but are seperatly playable) and different endings adds to the play time. Only thing that started to bug me was the optional trophy hunt. After I was done with the game I started hunting for the few remaining trophies and one of the required to get some points you get after each dungeon, but it took a lot of hours to actually get there and I had to get through dungeons at a point I was that overpowered that I was able to kill any enemy within my first turn :S That said it's great, but trophy hunting might get boring

Oh and to the discussion obove: Thanks for reminding me about SO xD I got through it on x360 and bought it on PS3 to see what they added and to make a perfect walkthrough with all character-endings, totally forgot about it xD Gotta go back to it, I just love Meracle :D

I ordered ar tonelico 3 from US. Does anyone know it will get a pal release? I like to have the option for dlc if there is any. Also will we see ni no kuni, class of heroes or the new agarest game this year out of japan? I'd still like to see tears to tiara get an English version.BlackendV

Don't know if AT3 makes it to the EU, but if, it will take some time :S You can create a US PSN though and get the DLC over it, there are websites where you cna buy PSN Codes that get mailed to you, that's how I make it with my imports. I guess the new Agarest will be sold outside of Japan this year, at least my swiss online retailer has it listed that way. I just hope they use enlish VA this time, I don't like japanese VA because I don't understand it xD
