What's a better next game: Witcher 3 or Bloodborne?

Witcher 3 kind of reminds me of Dragon Age mixed with the action of Shadow of Mordor, but I'm probably way off.

Bloodborne seems a little different than a formula already seemingly done in Witcher, although, maybe Witcher is just the most refined version of that kind of game. I couldn't say

In a perfect world I'd get both, but given I already haven't finished the other million-hour game I have (Dragon Age) would it still be worth it to dive into Witcher 3 right now?

So bam! What should I purchase next? Bloodborne or Witcher 3?

Both games are a super high AAA 92/100 at Metacritic, so you win either way.

Personally, I have Bloodborne and I'm getting W3. Who says I can't have both?

I also have both. I've only played the Witcher for about an hour, though, and I'm probably more than halfway through Bloodborne.

Bloodborne is awesome, just extremely frustrating for me. I do prefer the combat in Bloodborne more than the Witcher so far. I would go for Bloodborne if you don't mind a serious challenge and a game that lets you figure everything out for yourself.

These will be my two main games for a while.

if you like the souls games, get bloodborne. If you like large expansive rpgs get witcher 3

Get BLOODBORNE since you already have Dragon Age.

BLOODBORNE made my heart pound on multiple occasions which gave me Ninja Gaiden NES Nostalgia along with a constant Fear of Death and the humongous feel of Discovery. I give it a 10/10 hands down.

There's no right answer unless both is an option.

If you like roleplaying, storytelling, characters, or exploration, get The Witcher 3.

If you like big boss battles, horror themes, or online multiplayet, get Bloodborne.

Both have great combat, challenging battles, and great atmosphere.

I really enjoyed Bloodborne, but I haven't touched it in a while. I will be getting Witcher 3 for my computer in a few weeks. Just get both :)

I haven't played BB, but having played both TW3 and DA:I, I wouldn't be so fast to equate them. They wind up being pretty different experiences, and I would argue are only similar at the most superficial level (i.e. they are both open fantasy worlds and both involve questing).

The combat is totally different (more complex, IMO), the lore is totally different, the approach to story-telling is very different... TW3 is also much darker and things are less black and white. I'd call DA:I a "feel good" fantasy RPG, meant for straightforward questing and giving the player a clear sense that the character they came up with has saved the world. TW3 is more "Game of Thrones", where you play as a pre-baked character in a very grim world full of twisted politics, and many decisions for you to make with unclear outcomes.

After I finished Bloodborne around a week ago and I'm about six hours into the Witcher 3 I can honestly say both games are a must play. Little irony, all of my friends playing the Witcher 3 are complaining that they die a lot and combat is hard.

Personally, I'm playing the game in same retrospect as I did Bloodborne, careful, methodical and expertly avoiding getting hit - Parry, Dodge, Evade and Shield Aard. Honestly, not even close to Bloodborne :)

As for which game is better, I love them both. Buy both, play both, Why? - Because they deserved to be played.

P.S If I had no choice, I would probably pick Witcher 3. But that would be hard decision.

@Sokol4ever: What difficulty are you and your friends playing? I kinda suck at Bloodborne, I think I'm on my 6th boss, and about to give up. Just started Witcher on the 3rd difficulty.

Sounds awesome. Will be buying Bloodborne.

@jakesnakeel: I personally play on second difficulty setting (normal) and it's challenging but fare. I haven't died as of yet but got close to death few times.

If you want Bloodborne challenge, Death March (hardest difficulty) will test you patience. :)

The chances you will like Bloodborne and find enjoyment playing are minimal, the chances you will like The Witcher 3 and enjoy your time in it are high based solely on what kind of games these are and what they aim to do.
