As of now they don't. They have some problems with the copyright issue I think or something. Not sure, forgot already.

It's gonna be awhile before sony releases a utility program. Who knows...

Sell your UMDs online and use the money earned to rebuy some of your games.

At the very least, you should be able to send them to Sony where they would in turn give you a dollar for dollar amount in the psn store.

That's really a hassle. I was thinking to get a pspgo when upgrading my existing psp, perhaps I should get another psp 3000 instead. Is sony going to release a new version of psp with umd support in the near (or not so near) future?

I agree, and they pay for shipping and handling.

I never knew about this. Is there a link about it. That's pretty good.

:? It's hypothetical... it would be nice if they had this, but they don't.

I'd get the 3000. I can't imagine Sony releasing a newer PSP and re-introducing the UMD drive. They're apparently in the middle of trying to relaunch the Go.

logitech announced a exteral UMD reader for the psp go

1. Go back under your rock, Logitech confirmed that that rumor is false.

2. The PSP Go would be somehow hacked if that happened.
