FEW THINGS I WOULD LOVE SEE IN MADDEN 09

More gang tackling 4 to 5 guys help tackle a player dog pile as well

WR can drag their feet to help make catches

Better OLine protection please bring back blocking schemes

Be able choose what you want do with plenaties like tack on the yardage to end of the play

Better game sliders for more realistic game

Better CB play bring back real press cover and jam cover

More different kinds of tackles like Horse Collar tackling Helmet to Helmet hits jersey drag tackles

Be able to call a timeout real before a play and teams still play like in real life then ref stop play after the play is over and say time out was called

More realistic In game Celebrations on Defense and on Offense

Espn pre game halftime and post game show like on NFL 2k5 and show actually in game replays doing the shows

Franchise Mode need be harder to sign players to team Team post game confence when you lose a playoff game i want player to cry like T.O

Accelrate Clock need to come back

How about during an injury- if the player will be out for the remainder of a game, an ambulance or stretcher she be brought onto the field.

-dallas cowboy cheerleaders - even if I'm playing as the bears vs. vikings

-Fans running onto the field

-Fans tackled by 350 lbs football players for running on the field and then taken off the field by cops lol

EA is garbage im sorry. Its the same thing year after year. For being the only NFL licence football game you think it would be amazing. This is supposed to be "Next-gen" and Madden is far from that. They could do so much with technology but they dont since it keeps selling each year. The characters look like they are on ice, weather effects are awful, players dont move and act like they should. Everyone should look at the trailer for "Backbreaker" this is what madden should be doing. The technology in this game is exactly what next gen should be. Effort-If EA puts any in this game and not sit around twiddling their thumbs because there isn't any competition out there, I just might play another Madden game.

Actual football game-Madden 08 played more like a ballet than anything else. Why do players run the same strides each and every time? Realistically, if someone runs the same strides with someone else, they both would have the same speed. In Madden, faster players run the same strides but slides away from other players. WTH?!! An interactive sideline that actually responds to what's happening on the field would be nice! Also, just because the players on the bench are off the field doesn't mean they should have less detail to their look than the players on the field!

Natural animations and use of license-Have the QB hold the ball like the real QBs, not holding it like he's squeezing a mango in his hands. Have the QB throw passes naturally. If it's a deep ball, have the QBs step up and launch it (2K did this well). Not fling a 50 yard pass with the flick of his wrist. Have players look like their real life counterparts. Who in their right mind thought that the Madden version of Brady looks like the real Tom Brady? The real Tom Brady doesn't have a unibrow! Typical EA. They bought the NFLlicense to keep it away from other devs but fail to replicate the real players.

What shouldn't be in Madden 09...

Weapon Icons-This was so stupid because for all other players that didn't have an icon, they were useless.

Canned animations- Where was this so-called branching animation technology? Yea right.

High rate of turnovers-Fumbles and Interceptions should never happen as much as completions and carries in the game.

Ok I'm done.

The only thing i would like is for this game to be build up from the ground up on the PS3. If this does not happen I will skip the game again.

i agree with everything u said. mid air tackles should be worked on also, such as diving for the endzone close to the sideline and jumping over the line. create a playbook should come back. and also, something totally new they could add:

customizable touchdown dances.

i think special teams needs some work here's a few ideas

• too many touchbacks
• reverses and trick plays on kick-offs
• bring back the squib(dont know if spelled right) kick

Oh and for us Franchise guys that huge Free Agents Glitches making you unable to play franchise past a certain year (3-5 years) .. that was the killer this year .. as long as 09 doesn't have the same issue all should be well.

Oh and I want a REAL Pre-Game introduction ..

Also make the SUPERBOWL feel like the Superbowl, with MVP honors and trophy hand out, it always lacks .. you finish the Superbowl and your guy jumps into the air for like 5 seconds with fireworks, won't cut it much longer ..

• better user catch reponsiveness
• Backbreaker physics engine
• liscensed cleates, such as vapors n huaraches
• quarterback elusiveness moves, like on the old 2K games
• better in-season player progress
• better player models
• more people and players on the sideline, the sidelines r crowded at real football games.
• better people and player graphics/models on the sidelines
• add cheerleaders mascots to the sidelines
• put the ability to choose a face AND a hair****when creating/editing a player rather than choosing from an entire head
• add a backplate, handwarmers, and handtowels
• n ok, the game has espn radio and espn on demand but they cant add an espn pregame, postgame, halftime, or end of the week nfl live / sportscenter****show?and how bout maybe adding the Mayne Event onto espn on demand. some Stewart Scott, Chris Berman, Scott Van Pelt..... COME ON EA!!! USE ESPN TO UR ADVANTAGE!

Whats on EA's mind: "lets throw out a mediocre football game and watch it make money. Good thing we took the rights from 2K or else we would have to work hard on this title"

Not all of EA's games are bad, its just that madden seems to not be in the next gen yet. problems i see are the sideline players, field goal net, etc.

they're probably still learning the next gen.

I agree. The Madden series still looks close to the Dreamcast days. I'd rather they take out 20 of the 200 options and totally upgrade the graphics and animations.

Take out those god-awful blurry backgrounds.

If I want to look at something in the background but it's blurry, how is that realistic?

madden player since '92 so i'll throw my 2 cents in as well:

• get rid of this radio announcer
• when players drag their feet to make a sideline catch, make it so their feet aren't already out of bounce when they go to do it
• KEEP WEAPON ICONS-i know alot of you dont like it but it makes it so that big players make big plays and thats what the NFL is all about
• if in the 4th quarter the winning team has the ball and the game clock has less time on it than the play clock, have players walk off the field and start the celebration as the clock ticks down instead of standing at the line for the last 25 seconds of the game with no intention of running a play
• put together an "espn.com" page like they have in ncaa
• less fumbles and picks
• take away the superhuman kickoff ability of every kicker in the game
• TELL ME WHY I'M IN SEASON MODE/SUPERSTAR MODE AND THEY'RE SHOWING ME MY RECORD AGAINST THE CPU AND VICA VERSA AND THEY SHOW NEITHER TEAM'S SEASON RECORD??????
• make it so that the offensive line isn't just for show
• player introductions? good. no pre-game discussion of the match-up,players on a hot streak, or significance of the game? bad.
• last, but not least, to EA, we maddenites dont ask for much, but effort would be great. just pretend that someone else has the NFL liscence and that you have some competition and man up. as i stated earlier i've been playing this game for over a decade and i've never been so down on EA. i'm not totally knocking 08 it was decentbut when your not fixing persisting problems that new ones continue to pop up.if your the only one with an NFL license is time to give us something every football fan will LOVE, not tolerate, but genuinely enjoy
