wat u mean u know when it will die soon, i have 2 60gb from launch and a slim, and i toook very very good care of them since then and they are still running like champs. unless u mistreated and abused it the reasons u think its dyin then go for the 120gb, but unless ur 60gb is fine and take better care of it clean it and vacum it once a week for dust then u should be fine, the 60gb is the best ps3 model out there. and unless u want another ps3 to add in ur house again go for the 120gb u can always buy a bigger hdd for cheap and install it
P.S theres no difference between the 250 and the 120gb except for bigger hdd
Go sell your 60gb PS3 now before it YLODs on you. You can already sense something bad is going to happen. Lots of people are willing to buy it for its backwards compatibility. Then just go buy a Slim PS3 and upgrade it to a 500gb HDD.2p5p
Yep, it doesn't make much difference either way but a slim will last longer due to it being newer andany model can have a HD upgrade as mentioned.
Get the PS3 slim and it depends on how much space you need, but you can just replace your hard drive with a bigger hard drive that can store more date like the Seagate 500GB SATA 2.5" Hard drive with a $100 a piece and these are regular hard drives for laptops. Click on PS3 at the top of the Gamespot page and go to Getting Started with PS3 and go to Hard drive and Accessories. Hope I helped.
My slim's fan stays on about 90% of the time, so I don't know what's wrong with it. It also froze about 4 times(3 of which I can understand, since I was using the browser), and restarted 2 times on two different games because the game itself froze, but the system was running fine.Who told you the slim has a problem with its fan!? That's absurd and false.
If anything - it's better than the older one's fan! It's very quiet and mine has NEVER overheated and I play for HOURS sometimes.
Get the slim. Its hardware is new and improved.
