What should I unlock first in Battlefield Bad Company 2

Which weapons are the best in all kits?

Just choose the class you want to play as and do it.

Vehicle is the easiest to unlock all the stuff in. I know it's not a class, but I guess you could just run around in vehicles a lot. I usually get a lot of points playing as a medic and that's not too hard.

Assault was the first one for me. From the demo, I loved the 2nd gun (xmb or something) and has been my most used gun with 300s kills or so. Just finish unlocking the m16 and imo the best gun for assault class.

It's the XM8, but I thought it was the XMB too :P that one's really good, the second gun for the Engineer is also really good and the M60 (3rd gun for medic) is good. I don't know much about the recon since I rarely play as them and when I do I go shotgun.

Here's what I think are the best weapons in each class. I haven't full progressed through the recon class yet, I'm missing 2 snipers. I have every other unlock.

Assault- M16, or M416. They're both really effective, but M16 is much better onlarge openmaps and M416 is better in more closed off areas

Engineer- PP2000 is ridiculous, but I haven't really used the UMP yet.

Medic- I love the MG36's built in red dot scope. It makes things so easy and its powerful. But I've had a lot of success with XM8 LMG with 4x scope.

Recon- SVU with 4x scope or red dot scope. Run n gun with a sniper what???? :)

I think the most fun is to be had as a medic.

if you use the m416 properly it is equal to the m16 in accuracy just with a bit more more damage

i never had problems with the m416 at mid to long ranges

And also, what about the SVU Sniper???

I would go with assault and work your way down. Trophies in this game are a blast.... just watch out for the 20 demolishion kills one... it's frustrating!

What about the AN-94 Abakan??? I havent unlocked it yet, but is it a good gun?? I find it overused sometimes by the others??

The AN-94 is a very good gun, in my opinion only rivaled by the M16. It's really a matter of preference, but in my opinion the AN-94 is a bit better at long range than the M16 is.
