I'm a little bored and wanted to know what size HDD's people have in their PS3's. I bought the 80 GB with software emulation and upgraded the HDD to 320Gb. Which is great by the way because now i don't have to worry about deleting stuff to fit more stuff on there. I've had the PS3 for about 1.5 years and still have 175 GB left, that's with my entire music collection and most of the rock band and guitar hero dlc.

I bought the non-BC 40 gig about a year ago and just recently upgraded to a 250 gig HDD.

I bought an external 500gb HDD for transfering files between my PS3's (music, photos, movies, save files). In my PS3 down stairs I have the MGS4 80gb with 23gb left and a non-BC 80gb upstairs with about 70gb left? I'm thinking of installing a 500gb internal HDD into the PS3 down here.

I bought the non-BC 40 gig about a year ago and just recently upgraded to a 250 gig HDD.
I've got a 60GB... I've been planning to upgrade it, but don't really see much of a point since I still have a bunch of room if I need to make it all I need to do is delete all the demo's I have on it.
It's a shame how they get away with this. For example, purchasing a product that has "50GB" decided to first check the storage left -47GB. Why? pre-installed software such as update software, flash software etc. and I believe they first add the 50GB chip, then install the software which reduces it a couple of hundred MB's then slap it onto franchises. It clearly lists "50GB" yet as soon as you open and check it, way less then that, they need to be sued and reminded, all of them do, seriously.
You haven't even added anything; installed games, files, movies or updated the firmware/hardware and it clearly lists just 50GB without saying anything such as "this is just a round off the actualy number"
I have a40GB in there at the minute. However I never use more than 15-20GB at any one time so I dont see the point of upgrading it anytime soon. At some point I expect the PS3 to replace my home cinema system and as such I will store all movies etc on it. Until then I am more than happy with what Sony gave me with the machine

I have a 60gb but I have an external HD that I have 120gb reserved for the PS3. I wanted backwards compatibility so the 60 was the one I had to buy.
