I will be buying a PS3 soon and am also intereted in getting an LCD tv to take advantage of the PS3 HD graphics. I want to use the tv in my room which is a normal size room. I may also put it in the living room which is on the smaller side compared to others. I was thinking in the size range of 24-32 inch.

I have a NIKO 32' LCD HDTV w/ 1080i max output. got it on tigerdirect for 550 bucks. i think 32' is perfect, for my needs anyway. but i cant for the life of me tell a difference between 720p and 1080i resolutions on that size of display.

yep. so if u had a choice to buy for example a 32' w/1080i for 750 or a 32 w/720p for a hundred or two less, id prolly go w/ the 720p. make sure the contrast ratio on the tv is high too. 600:1 or higher looks nice

anything 32 inches and over will show off your PS3 very well. LCD TVs are expensive but worth it. I own a 37 inch Sharp and it looks amazing. If I were u I would go with a 37 to 42 inch name brand LCD like Sony, Sharp, Samsung, etc. Dont go for a low budget tv like Visio or Olivia they wont blow you away like the top brands IMO.

This is true you. once you get into the 42" rage the TV's get alot more expensive. i my self like to go big so i have a 60" LCD sharp(about 3k). works very nicely(I've had it for about 6 months now)but i did have one before that was a Sony and it pooped out on me and the picture stopped working. So Ihighly recommend a Sony from that one situation.

I have a 32 inch LCD and it's a good size, my room isn't the biggest so the 32 fits in well.

I have a Samsung 32" LCD and it's perfect for my living room. TV and games look great and it doesnt look to overhwelming. I would recommend going over to friend/family houses and see how they look in a room about the same size instead of in a store. Everybody says to go bigger and it's one thing everybody would change after buying their TV but when you go too big, the experience isn't the same. Keep shopping around til you find a good size that fits your room and your budget. Make sure not to skip out on inputs. Good luck.

I agree with you. I was playing a PS3 on a 19 inch lcd at my friends house and I could have sworn it was bigger than a 19. I think I will go with a 32 inch. Here is one thatI am looking at.

Before you buy that watch dealnews.com for a few days. Sometimes they hit on some pretty freakin' awesome stuff. I got a 37" Sharp Aquos recently for $599 plus shipping. I also got a 46" Aquos a while back for $1399 w/shipping. Both from Second Act.

Thanks. I looked at second act and did not see anything awesome yet. How do you feel about refurbished lcds. I have heard some good things about them.

I've had two great experiences so far. The funny thing about refurbishes is that many of them are just store returns because the customer didn't get exactly what they were expecting or that their wife or husband said "NO" after they brought it home. Sharp offers a pretty good warranty on their refurbs.

BTW, Second Act is most famous for their one day only deals. I got both my TVs on one day only sales.

Actually if you are not in a big hurry I have gone to retail stores and actually get a good deal on the spot by playing one chain against the other. Usually they will do there best to beat the competitors price if you really hold your ground.

It al depends on the size of your room, I have a small room and a 26 inch TV. And that's perfect, but for a livinfg room it could be bigger.26- 32 inch is a nice range

Most living rooms that I set up are in the 50-72" range. You rarely see anything under 40" in a living room.

Im thinking about the 32 inch range and I cant seem to find one.

I wish I had the money yesterday, because I saw a JVC at ubid.com going for 850.00 and it was a LCD 40" 1080p. Looked real nice.

Im going up to best buy today to get a feel of all the sizes.
