If you're sure that this problem only arises when playing demos, then this is a rare case indeed. I would tell you to phone Sony, but I doubt they'd do more than offer you a replacement.

I've had something like this happen. I'll download a trailer, and it will sound weird. I found that when this does happen (rarely) I just press the input button. I go from my HDMI 1 (PS3) to component 1 (cable tv) and back to HDMI 1. The sound is then back to normal. See if that works for you.

yea maybe but why everything els works for me while am using optical output ?
