hmm... as i sat here watching these iphone ads on youtube, i thought the next psp should be just like this! touch screen functionality to compete with its competitor, working web browser, all the tech the original psp has, a better screen... i don't know about the phone part tho... i would hate to have my game interuppted by a phone call.

I don't want phone in my PSP. I don't even want a phone.

Just give my support for 3rd party stuff, emulation and LOADS of space to carry my music, videos and games with me. That would make the PSP into the machine it was supposed to be.

I'm not too sure how you consider the IPhone a competitor of the PSP. Overall the PSP doesn't have any competition on the market right now.... Perhaps Microsoft will come into the game a few years from now to compete with the PSP2, but until then Sony doesn't have to worry about losing customers due to Apple.

Dude, the touch screen idea of yours is "interesting", to say the least... but that would just be too sleazy of Sony, to copy their competitors to "that level".

Its not like it has never been done, Microsoft did it to Apple with Windows Vista. If Sony did that, they would be telling everybody that all they said about Nintendo's "innovation" just being a"fad"was wrong. If they where to add a touch screen functionality to the second generation of PSPs', they might as well add motion sensing to the PS3 or PS4.

I hope not. If I want an iPhone, I'd get an iPhone. Games are suppose to be the most important thing on the PSP. I mean, it's the Play Station Portable. Not a darn phone.

No no no! What they should do is focus on extremely comfortable design. I don't know about you guys, but if I play GTA for 2 hours on PSP my hands are getting numb! (because of those darned top L and R buttons)

no phone,

just get more battery life for God's sake, right analog stick and a more ergonomic design, also better D-pad, cost me a lot of wear and tear to get the corners working properly

No.

All you're going to end up doing is jacking up the price of the handheld, and Sony's console counterpart is already expensive as it is. Sony should concentrate less on features and more on what the handheld is supposed to be that the current PSP fails to have: GAMES.
