what the reason you buy a PSP?

Let me start by saying that I have and love both the PSP and the DS. I like each for different reasons. Here are my PSP likes, keep in mind I have a PSP Slim so loads and battery are much improved:

-great and diverse game selection

-games offer a more 'console' feel to them when playing

-great graphics

-now we have the ability to download original PSX games via Sony's online store

-many of the great games are bargain priced (ie Syphon Filter Dark Mirror, Tekken Dark Resurrection, GTA III, etc etc)

-ability to load music and photos (I don't use it much for this)

-ability to play UMD movies and TV series

The DS sucked. I go all over the place and I need something to entertain myself and I got the DS for Christmas of 04 and learned about the PSP the next day. DS sucked at games and I played other people's PSP and I loved it. I then got the PSP for christmas of 05. It was awesome to play with especially Socom FTB1. I gave away my DS couple months later because it was boring.

Mmm, i wanted one because a friend had one, went to the store, didn`t have enough money, so bought a DS, got bored of it in a month, at that time i had saved money again, and motivated even more by some Youtube videos i saw went to get my PSP, since then i`m in love with it.

but i want the Slim, i`ll buy it this Christmas, and pass on my old one to my Sister.
