I have a crisp twenty dollar bill and I want a fun new game. I went to Gamestop and saw my options, but I may buy my game at Gamecrazy since I have a 10% discount there. I've sort of got into the trophy craze and I'd prefer trophy enabled games for replay value. In cheap games I already have HAZE and Star Wars Force Unleashed. Anyway, here are the games I was eyeing:

Tomb Raider Underworld: I've always been a fan of Tomb Raider, Angel of Darkness being the only one I disliked, since it was my first Playstation game. I liked Legend and loved Anniversary, but I read mixed feelings on this one. I know there's Uncharted now, but this one is about half the price and also has trophies.

Rock Band 2: I have the first Rock Band and play it almost daily, but I keep reading how RB2 has all these new features and I know more people play online. It went down in price recently and I may pick it up. By the way, I don't know if it's important to know, but I don't care for guitar, bass, or drums. I only play vocals. SingStar is not an option as I'm very disappointed with the DLC list on Wikipedia.

Battlefield Bad Company: I enjoyed the demo and love the destructible environments. There was some humor a lot of war games lack, but I don't think it has trophies. I don't care for trophies in this case though.

That's all that I can recall. I'd like to know what you guys think of these games (especially Tomb Raider). If you have any other games that you know for a fact sell under $20 at Gamestop or Gamecrazy which you want to recommend, go ahead. I'm also open to PSN games. I have Battlefield 1943, Flower, Punisher No Mercy, Ragdoll Kung Fu, and Wolfenstein 3D. I'm not a big fan of RPGs and I found Flower to be boring. I don't need any PSOne recommendations since I already had my fill (Castlevania Chronicles, Spyro, Crash Warped, Silent Hill, Medievil).

Thanks a lot. I'll check back tomorrow.

Well in all fairness Dead Space and Drakes Fortune are strong rentals. If I were you I would buy either Burnout Paradise or Bad Company. Both games have trophies, both games have replay value, both games have online communities. Burnout also has quite abit of DLC.

i'd also recommend battlefield: bad company, the second installment will be released in march 2010, it would be a nice exercise for it... :)

Bioshock.

Also, Burnout Paradise if you're into racers. It's arcade styled, so you don't have to worry about it feeling like a sim. It encourages crashing. :P

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is a really good game though. If you don't get it now, get it before the second game (if you plan on getting it).
