what to buy, killzone 2 or killzone 3?

Guys which killzone game between killzone 2 and killzone 3 is worth a buy? I have one friend telling me KZ2 is better while another says KZ3 is. How many people play each one? Which is better expierence? I had my PS3 for a little over amonth now. so help?

i think it comes down to personal taste. If your only interested in campaign the go for 2 then 3. in MP 2 feels a bit sluggish imo and maps arent that interesting. you should rent both to build a comparison

Both are good games but neither are great. KZ2 controls are sort of sluggish, a lot of weight to your character. But the online is much more balanced and the maps are well made. The single player is more polished in my opinion but not as crazy.

KZ3 feels unbalanced online, forgettable maps for the most part. They don't feel as well thought out. But the controls are easier to grab a hold of so that might help out those whiny noob gamers that seem to complain about everythingthese days. The campaign is crazier, more fun as well but felt thrown together and less polished.

IMHO and not trying to flame; dont get either. The killzone series is pretty weak as far as campaigns go. The first second and third all featured quite bland characters and uninspired campaigns. Killzone 2 MP is pretty empty nowadays. You can find games, but finding a good connection game varies and can be spotty. KZ3 is easy to find a game, but my main problem with KZ3 is how its not very enjoyable and seems to be the same mp experience elsewhere. Both suffer from having lobbies hosted by one person. 24 ppl running around grenade spamming and rocket spamming causes lag and frustration almost at the same level as cod:bo. The maps in KZ2 were pretty good, but kz3 has some boring maps. The best maps in kz3 are the flashback maps (kz2 maps updated to kz3)which your unfortunately going to have to pay for. KZ3 seems to be made for the COD crowd and things like 3D and sharpshooter options seemed to be guerrillas priorities instead of improving gameplay from the 2nd. KZ3 is by no means bad, but my main problem as you may have noticed is how it doesnt stand out in a sea of shooters. Graphics doesn't make a game, but gameplay does. Also at $60 i wouldn't reccomend it. You could get several cheaper and imo better games for that price. KZ2 was a good game but since its main focus the mp is gone, and only a 5 hour campaign for $24 there is no reason to pick it up.

A little off topic, but does anyone know if they added a "legacy" thumbstick option in killzone 3?

I have both of them and i can tell you Killzone3 makes Killzone2 look terrible. Its a no brainer
