My ps3 got the YLOD today. let it RIP.

but what should i do with it!
i got it on release and it is a 60gig model with backwards compatability. it holds some sentimental value to me.

i upgraded the hard-drive to 500gig and still have the old harddrive in my drawer.

should i get it fixed? i heard if you get them fixed they often YLOD again in a few months.

or should i buy a now very cheap 160gig or 120 gig and put my 500gig harddrive in it?

would my dead 60gig ps3 be worth anything on ebay or anywhere?

should i sell it?

argh!! HELP PLEASE!

You could get it fixed but like you said it will break again soon. So I would do both if you can, fix it and buy a slim.

my brothers launch 60 gig just YLOD and this is what he did. And the fix worked so he just said he was going to keep one in his bedroom and the new one in the living room.
