if its a good game i complete the story. if its a great game i complete the story and get all trophies/ achievementsetc... if its a bad game i go on ebay.
Back in my day, we didn't play for trophies. We played for the love of the game. If it was a game I really liked, I'd play it over and over.
P.S. Get off of my lawn!
I enjoy diversity, today I played GOW Collection and tomorrow I feel like some NBA action or some racing. Really depends on my time from work, friends and family.
I use to play a lot of RPG's in high school days but today I don't have to much time to do so.
I did Platinum Dragon Age: Origins however but that was the only RPG I played since it came out. ;)
Usually I beat it and move on unless there is multiplayer or I want to play it again. I get whatever achiements/trophies I can in my first playthrough, I won't spend hours playing a game just to get some annoying trophy (kill pigeons in GTA, collect shards in Infamous, etc).Legolas_Katarn
Samehere.
I go for the platinum in a game.
And you need some english lessons, my apologies if english isn't your first language, I just hate when people know english but still butcher it when they type.
This. Hardly see anyone play games over and over anymore just for fun. Must have some leet trophies or something.Back in my day, we didn't play for trophies. We played for the love of the game. If it was a game I really liked, I'd play it over and over.

Huh? lol. I don't know what "medal" is. I was getting my grumpy old man on. :PIn uncharted 2 online there's a booster called Invalid, whenever you kill 5 people you get a medal called ''Get off my lawn!'' I though it was that. :(
I play any game I want to. Whether I want to invest the time to invest into getting the Platinum, it depends on the game.
in this time where i have various things going on life such as college...... where tons of games being released. i only have time to play and finish game
once.... don't have time to platinum even if it's a game that i want to because i love it. for example.. uncharted 2.
i have yet to play star ocean 4 i've bought, same as dead space.....and future buys such as rachet clank series, heavy rain, ff 13, and soon to be gow 3....
my point is there are so many great games to buy and play but lack of time. maybe if ps3 doesn't really any good games, i might go back and replay
some of my fav games again.
I have to beat the game on normal difficulty and if I really love it I will go and play it on the highest difficulty. Of course if it has a great multiplayer I do the campaign and put in numerious hours online.
I will not purchase a game that I will not finish because I would consider that a waste of money. Unless it is a downloadable type of game that cost about $10 I will play casually and do not care about completely beating it.
I only completely ditch a game without finishing it if it's unbelievably bad.
The great games I do have, I always replay because I like them. Not for some foolish "forced my hand" attitude "because it has trophies". I prefer to play a game the way I want to and I hardly think killing an enemy 60 times qualifies as "replay value".
How days change. Nowadays, we have games so uninteresting, that some gamers won't even touch a game unless it has trophies.Back in my day, we didn't play for trophies. We played for the love of the game. If it was a game I really liked, I'd play it over and over.

You are SO right, my friend. I can remember the days of PS2 when we play GOW1, GOW2, MGS2, MGS3, etc... just for the fun of the gaming.Back in my day, we didn't play for trophies. We played for the love of the game. If it was a game I really liked, I'd play it over and over.
