try connecting them to other usb sockets on the ps3 or try it on your pc. If that doesn't work my guess is your usb cable is broken. because the both ps3 controllers won't go at the same time.

Or your USB cables are broken (Try switching them) If not, either the controllers are broken, or the PS3. For the last 2 you will need to visit sony.

Well first the PS3 is on when you plug in the controllers to charge right? And if you are sure both ends of the usb are securely connected, I would suggest trying to reset the controllers. Theres a tiny lil button on the back of the controller just press that bad boy for a few seconds and maybe that can remedy the situation. If all else fails call Sony helpline and see if they can help address the issue.

al right thanks.

and i dont think its my ps3 thats broken, i think its the controlle becausey theyre pretty old and ive dropped them hundreds of times. i think its the thing that you connect the usb to on the controller is broken on each of them.

i got the controlles to turn on by resetting it but they still wont charge. i guess im just gonna buy a couple new ones and if those dont charge either then its obviuosly the usb cable.

Maybe get a cable first, only cause its a lot cheaper and if its the problem then you will have a more affordable solution ;)
