What was so bad about the Turok demo?

Other than the fact it wasn't Bioshock, Call of Duty 4 or Orange Box? I thought the demo was OK. The caves were pretty boring but once you get into the jungle it seems to be a fairly unique experience. Using dinosaurs to kill other humans was a refreshing twist. I've read the previous threads about this, and no one has pointed out specifically what "sucked balls" about it.

Not that I love the game, but I think people may be way too overcritical in this case.

Why not? Why buy a game if its crappy?

The whole package didn't appeal to me. The look, feel, and execution of it all. I didn't come away thinking that anything was good enough about it to warrant my money. The sole thing I liked was stabbing the dinos, but I'm not paying $60 to stab dinos a time or two before it gets old.

While I won't write a review of the game based on the demo, it appealed to me so little that I have lost any and all interest in the game. Maybe, *maybe* when it's $20 and I'm bored I'll check it out, but based on the demo, asking $60 for this game is way out of the question as far as I'm concerned.

Mediocre.

They way dinosaurs didn't show any wounds after being stabbed, and cut....it just bugs me. Also they need to work on textures boards when 2 different textures are put together you can see the boarder line clearly in dinosaurs especially.
