What was the most dissapointing news of 2008 for u?

to me it was final fantasy 13 going to xbox as well, even though i never played any of its game, i knew it was a big game for sony and well us, no wonder japan started selling xbox360's more than Ps3

actually it was always with the famicom(nes), it didn't come to the ps till ff7 hit us shores.

personally, i feel if a developer wants to survive, they need to make games across all consoles, if nothing else than for the sales figures. not everyone plays rpg's, but they can reach more rpg players if they broaden their market base, which would ensure them making more of the games people like for longer.

the disappointing news for me was circuit city closing the store across from me and selling games at 40-60% off... and i was away on business

Ouch!!

The saddest news for me this year is that Ninja Theory is not going to be making a sequel to Heavenly Sword, and that Game Republic will not be making a Folklore sequel.

Both were among my top favorites for 2007, and the fact that neither is going to get a sequel upsets me. Hopefully SCE sees fit to publish sequels to them at some point, and hopefully they can lure the original developers back to create sequels if they do decide to go forward with those IPs.

Unfortunately, though, that doesn't appear to be the case.:(

Same thing... FF has always been with the playstation... i don't wanna be selfish of something, but it will ahve an effect for the PS3... can't blame 'em though, 'coz it's business!taplok

Not true, only with FF VII did the francise moved to Sony actually.

Anyway from it looks of it, it will be another cut-scenes galore/linear gameplay/level grinding/predefigned (teen emo) characters "jrpg".

When Final Fantasy went multi-plat!!!!!

But, I got over it. I don't really care anymore; I'm too busy obsessing over Bayonetta and White Knight Chronicles.

the Final Fantasy XIII moving but that isnt a big deal i gaurantee that game wont hold a candle to some of the older ones in the series so the 360 fans are missing out. but my two worst dissapointments:

Splinter Cell:Conviction isn't going to be for Ps3.

Star Wars Battlefront III has been either canceled or delayed

i know but it was one of the top sellers:)
