Mines was when I had bought my ps3 back at the launch on the 16th of November 06. I was playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance & the game froze on me like 3 times......I was like "WHAT THE ___?!" The second time was this morning when I got up for work and wanted to send a message to my clan and my ps3 froze on the load up screen.THEN I restarted the ps3 again and it froze again....NOW....I WAS LIKE "WHAT THE ___?!"
I have two friends that had disk read errors. What crap. Every once in a while mine has this thing where the video flashes and the audio cuts out for a second, and it has froze about 5 times playing CoD4 online.
I let my friend borrow my PS3 because he was interested in it. When i get it back, i plug everything up. Cut it on and went to my kitchen to start some Hotpocketslol. As I started pressing in the timer for the Microwave, i hear " ahhhh, ahhh". I run in there and there was a porno playing.

My third time was actually when playing my ps3 with rainbow six vegas 2 and I clicked to go into a death match.....just to be sent to the ps3 lobby. The funny thing is I was laughing at my friend because he said it had just happened to him.

Once when it was updating, my SIXAXIS wouldn't connect (when it tells you to press the PS button) and it made me say "what the f***" for about 10 mins, because I thought that my PS3 was as good as dead. Then I found out that there's a Reset button on the back of the controller, and all was well :)
the first time it crashed when exiting the folding client. then there was an "aww crap" moment when i started the client again and my work unit was gone.
haha mine was the "oh its heavy" moment too, also size. I never actually went and tried a ps3 out at a store or had even seen one in person until I got mine. Same with the Sixaxis controller, when I played Uncharted for the first time and you have to balance on a beam or something I was so confused (but felt dumb when my brother laughed at me for not knowing anything about the controller at the time haha)
mine was when we went out of town for a couple days so i brought my PS3. this was around when i bought it back it back in dec, 06. either I or someone else unzipped the bag, so when i went to take it out of the back it falls and smashes to the asphault. the right side of it where the venting holes are, the bottom of that broke and was hanging off but i glued it back on. it doesnt play dvds anymore but still plays PS3 and PS2 games so thats all i care about.
lessen learned: dont put your PS3 in bags with zippers that are around stupid people who don't zip the bag back up
