[QUOTE="Yasihiko"]I'm just going to put this out there, they took out the crash mode. That is all.Macka1080
The first two burnouts were on consoles, this thread refers to the PSP version of Dominator. So yes the success of the first two Burnout games, sans the crash mode, is irrelevant.
They gave Burnout Dominator 8.2. A whole .8 less than Legends, which is clearly inferior in nearly every aspect! The only part of their review that I can agree with as a con to the game is the exclusion of a crash mode, though I don't think it's necessary since, at heart, Burnout has always been about the racing.its an opinion. so let me give you a taste of my opinion. i believe they both have their strengths, Legends and Dominator (IMO i believe Legends was slightly better, not because of crash mode). the thing with the traffic is that on Black Gold as an example, the sun's glare makes it hard to see the cars. so if you cant see them, you are going to hit them. the tracks are more focused on drifting and doing burnouts, it makes it harder to takedown other cars, there isnt a lot of tracks(they are coming soon), Legends at least gave you a good variety. the game is harder and a faster pace but a that also makes the races short(or feel short), i usually restart a race if i dont win or get a gold and the load times(not bad) feel very long and break up the pace and momentum of the game. the music, dont even get me started on that. i am not a fan of modern music. im usually very happy about the choice of music they put in Burnout, BUT GIRLFRIEND HAS 4(OMG 4) versions in dominator. she cant sing in Japanese, Chinese and Spanish(i know because im fluent in them). she has a horrible american accent in all of them(or canadian). but the soundtrack is good besides for that. not to memtion the fact that this game is VERY glitchy. the game will freeze when it load a race or when you get in a crash. not cool. the takedown camera most of the time doesnt do a good job, you cant see the car takendown because there is something in the way or the car just falls off the level. also not cool.
How can they comment that the graphics in Dominator are ugly?! They are superior to Legends graphics, and some of the best out of all the racing games on the PSP. GS also mention that traffic is often missed in front of you, but I have never encountered this issue, and I play on the lowest brightness setting and have completed the game. I am quite positive they were playing a different game to me.
The tracks also need to be mentioned, as they are not recycled and burnout out tracks from previous Burnout games (Legends!). Instead they are new and well designed, especially for the PSP system. The game also omitts those unnecessarily long races from legends that extended nearly into double digits.
A rocking soundtrack rounds out the game, and allows people of all musical interests to choose their preferences. I myself choose to remove hip/hop and the like, focusing on the metal and rock :)
How on earth can they rate this game less than its predecessor given the obvious superior qualities, and the lack of any better game on the system? Just my thoughts...

I WANT OLD GS BACK =(

[QUOTE="Yasihiko"]they took out the crash mode.lee7373Excatly, I enjoyed the game less without a crash mode:cry: The only Crash mode I loved was in Burnout 3 and the other console releases. Crash mode in Legends is pathetic and Dominator is a superb game even without it. Defenitely deserved a 9.0 or 9.1
