What will be sony's 'hit' game?

MGS4, FFXIII and TeamICO's game (no idea what yet but it has been confirmed).

What will be sonys hit game?.....

Hmm...that is a question to ponder on for 2 mins becuase there are a couple of hit games that are comming out soon. Ratchet and Clank is a series that has been hit after hit on ps2. Metal Gear Solid....but in the near future i see Unreal Tournament 3 being sonys big hitter.

I don't see a huge standout hit game this year ........ just a collection of really good 1st party games and an abundance of great third party games.

what I mean by hit game is that game that makes that system worth buying. 360 has GOW, forza and bioshock. the wii has zelda, metroid, RE 4, and super paper mario. We all know that sony will regain their footing soon as far as games go but what do you think thier 'hit' game will be. I think that game wont come for a few months but it will probably be Unreal Tournament 3. I would have said Heavenly sword but from the reviews I have seen it is a dud.Bigfred19882000

Warhawk is a proven hit right now.

SONY has never had one game that defined its console like Microsoft and Nintendo. Instead, it relies on an incredibly deep and diverse lineup of games that cater to any type of gamer.

I don't think there's any doubt that Metal Gear Solid 4 is the "hit" game that will be coming out for PS3. Metal Gear Solid 4 is the biggest reason why I got a PS3. God of War 3 is the next biggest reason.

Final Fantasy XIII also looks to be a HUGE step up from last generation's Final Fantasy games. I'm actually more intrigued by Final Fantasy Versus XIII...Either way, I've always been a huge Final Fantasy fan. It's been exclusive to PlayStation for a while now...

IF...Killzone 2 lives up to its hype and massive budget, I expect it to be a huge "hit" game.

Littlebigplanet does look super cute, but I think FFXIII is going to be the one to pull people in...It's got the popularity of the series behind it.

I think FFXIII and MGS4 will have a little more depth than GOW...

I can't seperate which one will be more successful.

Exactly, there is no special hit game. Sony has always used the every genre tactic and this will start to peak next year.

For every genre the PS3 has at least one game that is gonna kick ass and so even if your not into FPS or RPG, the PS3 still has a game in a different genre that will win you over.

A little preview (just a few games of the top of my mind):

FPS: Killzone 2, HAZE, ...

RPG: FFXIII, Folklore, White Knight, ...

Stealth Action: MGS4, ...

Online: Warhawk, UT3, ...

Survival Horror: Resident Evil 5, ...

Platformer: Ratchet and Clank, ...

Soccer: PES, FIFA

... and so on.

And then I don't even talk about:

Little Big Planet, Afrika, GT 5, GTA 5, Wipeout HD, Uncharted, GOW 3, ...

I know that these are not all exclusive games, but who cares.

Who said you shouldn't buy a PS3, because it won't get any support? :? :P
